Abortion is one of the most debatable topics today. There are many opinions on abortion. Opponents believe that abortion shouldn’t be allowed, but proponents argue that it should be allowed. The U.S Supreme Court states, “Every person has an inherent and undeniable right over their own bodies, and as such, it is their choice to do with it as they please.” In my opinion I believe that abortion should be allowed in the U.S. I think this because women who get pregnant are less likely to have mental health issues, people, especially teens don’t think before acting, and women have control over their own body. I think that murdering a baby, not born yet, is better to kill than ruin your lives. To start off with, abortion is right because women who get pregnant and not supposed to be, want to have an abortion because women don’t want to have mental health issues. American Psychological Association, the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges , and researchers at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health state, “Mental health of women who received abortions to women who denied abortions found that …show more content…
Sarah H., writes in the article, Not Your Body, Not Your Call, “ Abortion is the choice of the mother and no one can tell her what to do with her body. It is a basic human right to have control over your body, the comfort of few does not outrank human rights.” This statement shows me that it is the women’s call for abortion or not. If the U.S abandons it then they won’t have that choice. Also Pro-Choice Abortion quotes, “Pro-choice abortion is the belief that women have the right to choose to abort a baby from their body. The "pro-choice" view is that a baby does not have human rights within the mother's womb.” This statement shows that it shouldn’t be anyone other than the mother’s choice and that you aren't really killing a child, because it isn’t alive baby until it is out of the
There is no excuse to killing an innocent child and abortion is giving people an excuse. Before a child even has the chance to be born and live, their life is taken away because of the mothers decision. There are so many alternatives to abortion. When a woman doesn’t want to keep her baby or does’t have the ability to take care of it, abortion shouldn 't be the first option taken. There are many options out there to be taken like “Abortion alternative clinics [that] offer services such as adoption referrals, free pregnancy testing, crisis pregnancy counseling, post-abortion counseling, and homes for pregnant women” (Chittom & Newton, 2015). With that many options to choose from, why would a woman choose to take the abortion route? When the abortion is in consideration, many women admitted they were not fully educated on the topic. Chittom and Newton (2015) wrote: “these heart wrenching stories describe the violent reactions these women have had to seeing images similar to what they had done in the process of killing their own babies”. After the abortion process was over, many women were shocked and mortified at how the abortion was preformed. For many, only guilt and sorrow remain since the damage was already done. Flat out plain and simple, abortion is not the right route to take. It kills and innocent baby and puts the mother’s life at risk
When it comes to abortion I believe that it should always be left up to the woman to make the decision on whether to keep her baby or not. Having a baby is no eas...
Twenty-one percent of all U.S. pregnancies end in abortion (“Induced ABortion in the United States). Abortion is murdering defenseless babies who would‘ve otherwise had a happy life with a couple that is unable to have their own child. Is killing an innocent person ever moral?
Abortion has so many different view points on the topic, some positive some negative. Roe verse Wade played a huge part in the decision making process on abortion. Everyone has their own opinions about abortion but the opinion concerning when life begins had a significant effect on a person’s views concerning whether they are for or against abortion. The studies of long term effects from abortion on women are traumatic and devastating. They can include mental, physical, and emotional problems after an abortion.
Abortion is a voluminous topic today all around the world. Differing viewpoints on abortion are recognized in politics, religion, and throughout the general population. There is a small amount of people who are nonchalant on the subject. Women have abortions for many different reasons and according to certain groups these reasons are either justified or not. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. For example, raising the child and adoption.
Abortion has been a controversial topic in the U.S ever since it became legal in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade case. Abortion is defined as the, “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Pro-life supporters believe that abortion is unethical and argue that it is the mother’s responsibility to own up to her actions. They also argue that there is always the option of adoption, and that abortion could be very dangerous. I am pro-life and believe that the government doesn’t have the right to decide what a woman can or can’t do with her body.
Abortion is something that is performed by millions of women a year who do not think twice about the decision that they are making. Most of these women who perform abortion do so simply because they cannot take care of a baby themselves. A question that many may ask is, should abortion be legal? Abortion should be illegal in the United States.
Abortion has been accepted by the United States of America ever since the monumental Roe vs. Wade case in the early 1970’s, but is still a very controversial issue. Many people are for and against abortions. Some people say that the child inside its mother’s womb deserves the opportunity to live, while others believe that a mother has the right to choose whether or not her fetus can live or die. Other advocates for abortion claim that abortion helps keep the threat of overpopulation down. They also say that in many extreme cases, it is in the best interest of the mother and the child that the fetus be aborted. Abortion helps keep the crime rate low, so it should remain legal, they also say.
Women have abortions because they are usually not mature enough or do not have the money. So why should it be illegal or legal. There are many reasons to support both sides and i believe the reasons why it should be legal are better than the reasons why it should be illegal. Although many people might argue that abortion should be illegal because it is murder and if a women gets raped, i say the opposite.
Many people are for and against abortion, should it be legal or illegal? Abortion is one of the most debated issues in our country. Some people are for abortion without a problem but most are highly against it .I am personally against it since I believe it is murder of an innocent unborn baby everyone should have a chance to live.
Abortion is a contentious topic around the world, especially in religious circles. In all parts of Judaism, abortion is permitted as the fetus is not seen as equal to a living human being. Abortion is actually required if the fetus threatens the life of its mother, but is also permitted in other circumstances pertaining to the well-being of the mother. Of course, there are limitations on the reasons a woman may provide for getting an abortion as well. However, specific limitations and permissions vary greatly throughout different denominations of Judaism. Overall, Judaism is accepting of abortion under a variety of circumstantial reasons for such a procedure, but never forbids it entirely.
The debate of weather abortion should be made legal dates back to Jan. 22, 1973. When US Supreme Court defined abortion as one the fundamental rights of a women. Abortion has existed in different societies, although the government and the religion have opposed it. As abortion is one of the most discussed topic of the day, one can easily support its advantage and disadvantage with strong points. Though some people may argue that it cannot be morally justified, I strongly believe that abortions should be legalized as it makes women enjoy a better life through freedom and better health.
First, I feel that abortion should be illegal because it can result in medical complications and also psychological trauma. It can cause premature birth and could also cause a baby to be handicapped in future pregnancies. A woman who has had an abortion is 2.3 times more likely to get cervical, ovarian, and or liver cancer. Abortion is the cause of 47,000 woman’s death yearly. It can cause depression for at
Should Abortions Be Legal or Illegal? Imagine a world where everyone is more cautious and thinks before acting, think how many lives should be saved due to those people by having abortions be legal. Abortion is a very serious matter all over the world with the definition of “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Abortion can be viewed in very different ways according to your perspective and religious faith. For example, some people think isn’t right in the eyes of God and for the unborn baby’s, and others believe it is the woman's body and, she may do whatever she desires with it.
Mother Theresa once said, “If we accept that a mother can kill her own child how can we tell other people not to kill one another?” Some women go through with abortion because of mental or physical conditions occurring in themselves or the baby, and I believe that is alright. On the other hand should women be allowed to use it as birth control, or because they’re not ready for parenthood? No! Abortion is killing the most innocent creature on earth. Abortion is murder.
