Introduction Property crimes with secondary victims of homicide I am here to talk about property and secondary victim’s crime. Though these are two vastly different crimes they still coincide together. They both affect an induvial and the family of the individual who were both victimized. Property crimes are crimes that do not cause any physical harm to the individual. However, there is damage done to the individual’s property or to their mediated physical ownings. Property crimes are any type of larceny; including burglary of the home when the victim is away, vehicle theft, bicycle theft, property theft, vandalism and vehicle burglary (Cook, Fox 2011). There are many sub factors that could be underlining socio-demographics in becoming a victim of property crime such as; the household moved to a different address. According to this article they have identified 4,470 people who die in the course of 3,350 intimate partner violence incidents. Of the 4,470 deaths, 81% were homicides, 18% were suicides, and less than 1% was undetermined intent (Smith, Fowler, Niolon 2003-2009). Intimate partners accounted for 80% of the homicides (2,903). These findings were current to former intimate partners of the suspect and predominantly were female, 77%. The average ages of the victims were 38.5 years old. The method used to kill their victim was 54.1% with firearm, 25% sharp instrument, 8.4% hanging, strangulation or suffocation, 5.3% blunt instrument, 3.2% personal weapon such as their own hands, 4% other weapons.
