It’s generally your job to determine when you have to start to meet the deadlines. The PS8 scheduling software can give u when to start when u develop the plan. They have to just define the project with tasks, durations and dependencies and then the software will schedule your task backwards in time from the set end date and it will come up with the latest date at which you can start your product to meet the deadline. It’s basically the method of scheduling the production backwards from the end date to the start date and by computing the time and materials required at each stage of the
According to the Case Management Society of America, case management is "a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual's and family's comprehensive health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality, cost effective outcomes" (Case Management Society of America [CMSA], 2010). As a method, case management has moved to the forefront of social work practice. The social work profession, along with other fields of study, recognizes the difficulty of locating and accessing comprehensive services to meet needs. Therefore, case managers work with these

Project managers do not always need lean management techniques or Six Sigma to solve problems. One of the commonly used techniques to solve problems within project management is by applying the theory of constraints, a term that was coined by Goldratt (1984). Goldbratt (1984) stated that in any business there are constraints or bottlenecks that prevents the business from flourishing and can impede the progress of the business. For example, if one team is capable of making a 10 cars per day while another team is capable of only making two, there should be an examination to determine what is impeding the other team from making 10 cars. From a business perspective, a project manager should want to find ways to eliminate the constraints. Goldratt (1984) stated that the Theory of Constraints could be...
Time: As everyone says ‘time is money’, any product that can slips away too easily. Every project has a due date for delivery the product. When we reduce the project time, we need to increase its cost or reduce its scope. The project manger has to analyze the every scope of the project. The amount of time is required to complete the
Project managers normally work under strict time deadlines. The manager must deliver the not-fully-specified product, produced by a not-fully-specified process, but on a specified date. There is constant pressure around schedules and the monitoring of progress towards the due date. This often becomes the overriding concern of the project manger.
Since first taking the quiz “How Good Are Your Project Management Skills?” until now, can you identify areas of growth or knowledge regarding project management specifically, or leadership in general? Do you find yourself giving more consideration to particular areas, principles, or practices (e.g. scheduling, scope management, communication styles, etc.)?
Project management is said to be completed within time when it completed within the “triple constraints”: cost, time and quality. And in a lot of causes, one them is sacrificed so as to meet the other two. Project managers prioritize which ones are the most important.
People – the reality of a project all depends on the people that are included in the project. We all need to come together as team and everyone will need to play their parts. For example, these specialists are likely to include system analyst, design, programmers, product developer and tester.
The topic of my group (group 4) was “How to totally float through your project for free” and the presentation was held by Roger Goodman who works for PMI NZ and Ernst & Young supply chain management with many years of working experience in many different countries such as Saudi Arabia and China.

Disciplined time management is fundamental to effective project management, if a project manager cannot control his own time, then the project cannot be controlled. (Kerzner, 2013). Key elements to time management are planning and prioritisation. Planning is a system in which you categorise what you need to do for a project such as determining objectives, identifying achievement steps, the breakdown of the task into components tasks, time taken and identification of what you require from others (Caunt, 2013, 27). This indicates that a plan can be likend to a process in which steps have to be clearly defined in order for it to work. Plans should always be time bound, giving the relation to time maagement, planning is as fundamental to time
“Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to organisational and project activities to achieve the aims of an organisation through projects” (PMI, 2003).
When planning a new project, how the project will be managed is one of the most important factors. The importance of a managers will determine the success of the project. The success of the project will be determined by how well it is managed. Project management is referred to as the discipline that entails the processes of carefully planning, organizing, controlling, and motivating the organization resources so as to foster and facilitate the achievement of specific established and desired goals and meet the specific criteria of success required in the organization (Larson, 2014). Over the course of this paper I will be discussing and analyzing the importance of project management.
A careful and close monitoring of time and cost must be performed to ensure a project is successful. Often, time and cost constraints are common issues with projects especially in construction projects; and if not monitored closely, it can have a devastating result for the project. Moreover, time and cost of projects can mean the difference between successful project completion or delay and added cost to the project. Therefore, a successful project requires detailed analysis of cost and time; project managers must explore ways to reduce time and cost where possible (Eckhart-Queenan, Etzel, & Prasad, 2016). Project managers can mitigate constraints by fast tracking or reducing project scope or when there are no constraints by adding resource
