Prohibition was the ban of selling, consuming or distribution of Alcohol.That took place during the roaring twenties and early 30’s The amendment was stuck into place to reduce poverty and lower the crime rate. It actually started up a new form of criminal activity. From Bootlegging to the Mafia and even the KKK was involved with this kind of crime.
The crime was selling alcohol or even having it in your house. Both were very illegal at the time because it was associated with crime and everything bad about today’s society.

The transporters were given a name of Bootlegger. Just like Gangs these days. The Mafia and the KKK both went against each other trying to make the other one look worst than themselves. The KKK at the time was associated with the people and had to keep their image a good one. They secretly would raid the Bootleggers stashes. They would destroy most and take some. The Mafia and the KKK both decide to start a war against each other because the Mafia rose because of the outlawing of alcohol. People still wanted to drink and the Mafia found a way to make money from this need and they took the need and started up a bootlegging business. Thanks to them they started up a new genre of music.
