Private investigators provide a wide range of services, but perhaps the most well known are those involving finding out if your spouse is cheating. The following are a few of the techniques that we use to uncover the truth about your suspicions. A stake out If a private investigator has good information about where your spouse is likely to be with their lover, often we can sit and wait for them to arrive. This may be at a favorite restaurant or perhaps in a residential area. Whatever the case may be, a private investigator knows the best places to observe and record any compromising behavior using video or photography. Of course, this type of behavior must be in a public place to be legally recorded, but when people think they are not being watched, they let their guard down. Investigating credit card receipts …show more content…
One area to start with are credit card statements. Often a spouse will charge a dinner with someone he or she is having an affair with. If confronted about it, there is often a logical explanation. Of course, this may not be the true. We can find out more information than what is listed on a credit card statement. The same is true with other odd charges on a credit card. This type of investigative work can also be done discreetly. Investigating emails and phone calls Whether we can read your spouse's emails or look at your spouse's phone logs legally, will depend on a few factors, but if it is legal, we can investigate any suspicious emails and trace down phone numbers of suspicious people. This is just the beginning. Once we have more information, we may then need to do some field work and follow your spouse to see if they are meeting with the person your spouse is communicating with, and then determine the nature of their relationship. When we were little, we thought the word “Career” was not a big deal, but as a senior in high school the word has become our reality as we start to finish our last semester. The question we’ve been asked all these years was what do you want to be when you grow up? But our answer was simple; we don’t want to grow up. As an innocent kid it seemed like the time would never come, but it has. It’s time to get serious and really ponder on this question. My mind has wondered for so long on what my career would be. We all wanted to be an astronaut, but I never liked space or the fact of not having any gravity. What if I get lost in the universe? Maybe I’ll be a firefighter, but I never was interested. Well how about a cop? That’s it, a police woman. I grew up watching crime movies and cop shows but knew that that was never reality. I started getting interested in court cases and the mind of a serial killer. Why do they do it, was always my question. I searched for more answers and found that the behavior plays an important role. That’s when I decided I wanted to become an FBI profiler for the Behavior Analysis Unit (BAU).
Then comes the step of finding data. Holmes once said, "It is a capital mistake to theorize without data." You should never come up with theories and then try to support them. You must always find facts and then come up with theories. My thoughts are that you go in the wrong direction if you do it ass backwards. Not only will the crime take longer to solve but it also could never be solved.
I am doing my future job report based on a Private Missing Person Investigator, also known as a Detective, which is a person who basically helps find anybody that has once been a part of a cold case, a run-away, kidnapped, or eve sold children who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This career caught my by watching a movie called “Prisoners”, it’s about 2 little girls about the age of 5 (Alyssa & Marcie) on Thanksgiving Day they go to their neighbors (Marcie’s House) to celebrate with them, but that’s when it goes downhill . . . the children being abducted while playing outside! As the movie continues they hire a detective to find Marcie and Alyssa. While, the detective finds Marcie but no sign of Alyssa, only to go back the accusers house and finding the accused sticking a shot in Alyssa’s arm which was a Lethal Dose of Sedative, the detective stops half of the dose not going into the little girl, while being shot at having a near death experience with a wound close to the brain but dodges it at the perfect timing while being able to save both of the girls and him as well! This may sound scary and look scary but it also saves tortured kids, sold kids, or even worse. I will do it not just because people tell me to but to help this world, I may not make a big change in the world, but a change that will make people say, “because of her I have my child again,” or “ because of her this world is allot better.” I will be the change the people want and need, even if it means risking my life for a child/teen/ or adult!
As you can see there is no perfect crime. The littlest piece of hair or paint or anything left behind can be found. Suspects often miss these tiny peieces of evidence and while they looked over it, it is still lurking at the crim scene. It is guarenteed that a Crime Scene Investigator will find this evidence no matter how small and use it to find, prosecute, and convict a criminal.
FBI agents are special agents who can understand the minds of criminals and the psychotic and save people who are endangered by them. They are a higher rank than a police officer and deal with serial killers. FBI agents keep streets clean of psychopaths who have intentions of hurting others. Special agents are often engaged in secretive operations to observe criminals over time until they have got enough evidence to arrest and prosecute them.
The process of using behavioral evidence left at a crime scene to make inferences about the offender, including inferences about personality characteristics and psychopathology is called criminal profiling. Around the country, several agencies rely on the minds of criminal psychologists to lead them in the right direction to finding the correct offender. Criminal profiling provides investigators with knowledge of the appearance and behavior of a potential criminal.
Criminal minds is the guiltiest of this type of exaggeration. The team of six occasionally seven individuals seem to be the only ones at the crime scene; again, in reality, There are anywhere between three to ten crime scene investigators. A few here and there for DNA, a few to take photos that encapsulate the crime scene, and a few to investigate the surrounding area and get witness
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a law enforcement officer? Most people imagine driving fast and running after the “bad guys”. While this is one part of many law enforcement careers, there are many other things that law enforcement officers do in their daily duties. While law enforcement is an exciting career, officers must be able to face dangerous situations daily, be organized, have good writing skills and work well with high stress situations.
Crime scene investigators, also known as CSIs, have played an essential role in protecting citizens, by proving who is guilty, and who is innocent. CSIs use a large amount of Science and Math skills to solve crimes, resulting in a decent income. They are specialized in forensic science in order to examine crime scenes and recover important evidence (Career Cruising).
During an investigation there are number of important roles, methods, and a few other things
Did you know that the first private investigation agency was started by a criminal? While conducting research over this particular topic I learned a lot of interesting information regarding the type of work done by private investigators, as well as the potential employment opportunities. This world is a crazy and deceptive place and it is up to us to get to the truth of everything. Becoming a private investigator will be a time consuming, potentially dangerous, yet extremely rewarding career path. (History of Private Investigations, 2013)
One major difference between public and private investigator is the training that they have to go through before they qualify to do criminal investigations. For public officers, they will have to go through in-depth training and undertake some exams before they qualify for their jobs while private security officers will only have to go through drug test and provide a background check on their criminal record prior to their recruitment as private investigators.
Denise Moore 's criminal report starts the investigation. A police investigation of a crime is the entryway into the criminal justice system, once Denise Moore reported the crime, Detective Riley and Detective Clay conducted a photo lineup, an investigative tool used when the suspect is unknown and not in custody, to identify the suspect (Burns, 194).
Imagine pulling into your driveway and seeing your neighbor’s house surrounded by police, flashing lights, and caution tape with bodies covered in white sheet on the lawn. It was a drive by shooting. Next, a van pulls up and a Criminal Investigator steps out and starts assessing the crime scene. She begins taking photos, marking shell casings, packaging evidence, documenting tire treads on the pavement and inspecting and collecting DNA evidence from the bodies. Criminal Investigators are highly trained college graduates that are a vital part of bringing criminals to justice.
The goal is to make prosecution successful. The working condition can be hard on crime scene investigators. Some scene may be difficult for them to reach because of the weather and the distance, so they have to prepare and figure out what is appropriate equipment for them to use that would not containment or destroy the scene. While working on the crime scene, there may be some curious people that the crime scene investigators have to deal with, like the witness, other police officers and the public. These spectators can leave items at the crime scene that can interfere with the investigators work. Sometimes they get too annoying by asking questions and can turn out to be unmanageable which will force the crime scene investigators to leave the scene before they have recorded and gathered all evidence. Usually popular areas tend to be the worst place for crime scene investigator to work with. In this kind of situation, I believe that they would have more police present and to control the perimeter of the crime scene and allow the investigators to complete their job effectively and safely. Crime scenes are really fragile, fingerprints and other evidence items can be smeared and destroyed by careless investigators or can be accidently destroy while the crime scene investigators trying to remove the
