Kevin just moved to Miami, Florida for a job offer at Princeton's Photography, the most elite photography company in the south. He heard commotion next door and glanced over seeing a girl scrambling out the door. She's cute Kevin thought and smiled to himself. Later tonight he is going to go over and introduce himself and try to get to know her better. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kevin was just finishing up supper when he spotted her car pulling into her driveway; he quickly washed his hands and heads on out to introduce himself. “ Hi, Im Bethany, nice to meet you.” Her hand met his and they shook.
“So where did you move from?” She asked, as she grabbed her purse and some groceries that she had picked up after work. “Would you like some help carrying them in?” Kevin offered, while reaching to grab a bag. “Oh sure, thank you!” She said. With little butterflies in her stomach, odd I haven't had that feeling since Dave was alive. She quickly grabbed her keys from her pocket and unlocked the door. “I moved from Colorado because I got offered a job here at Princeton Photography” Kevin said. Bethany says, “ That’s awesome! I have heard that they are the best in the country.” She started to put away her groceries when he
said. “I just made supper and I have plenty to share, would you like to come and have it with me?” Her stomach did a little jump. She thinks to herself it has been over a year since Dave died…. why not give it a try and meet new people. “ Yeah sure, I just need to change and I'll be over in ten minutes.” Five Months Later Bethany sat in a blue lawn chair in the back of her house and watched the sunset when she thought to herself that things have been moving along really well with Kevin; he is a really nice and caring guy. All of a sudden she heard sounds coming from Kevin's warehouse. Bethany stood up and started to saunter her way over to his house to see what the noise is all about. “Hello!” Bethany yelled from outside the warehouse. There was no answer.
The warm wind blew my hair back, while I listened to the chatter and thumps from the steps on the wooden walkway. Car horns occasionally sounded as they passed by up the road. Colorful sail boats provided a picturesque background. Paris had his camera wrapped around his neck and was focused on the glowing sunset. We sat on a black swinging chair, facing the rippling water that held the sunset’s warm reflection. Paris scrolled through the pictures on his black professional camera.

As we begin the interview, I settled into the desk across from my eighth grade english teacher. Ms. Doherty tucked a strand of brown curly hair behind her ear as she smiled warmly at me, awaiting the interrogation. “Good afternoon.” I started, chipper. “Nice to see you again, Kellie.” she replied, nodding her head in acknowledgement. “So where did you grow up?” I asked, shuffling around a few papers.
Despite her morning thoughts, she and everyone else knew how gorgeous she actually was. With her hair done, face fresh, clean, made-up, and new clothes to show off, she headed out the door and jumped into her car. She sped down to the nearest Starbucks, just like she did every morning. She finally got to school, still getting used to how different things looked compared to her old one. “It is I who am doing something for you.” She was using the more-sophisticated-than-thou elocution she'd acquired as a starlet at Olympus Pictures, though six decades and a pack-a-day Benson and Hedges habit had blunted its steely edge. “But before we get to that, how are things in the countryside, or wherever it is you live? Have you remarried?”
Audra smiled. He sounded relaxed and sanguine. “Is there anything I can do for you or get for you?” “No. I’ve occupied myself with the memories of all the wonderful things that have happened recently.”
“Right this way, Katelyn.” Mr. Shaller then said gesturing to her with one of his fingers, and they both began to walk out of the cafeteria together, Katelyn a few feet in front of him. I had assumed that she was on her way to the principal’s office. But as she walked in front of Mr. Shaller on her way out of the cafeteria, she turned back looking over her shoulder at me with a giggle and gave me a small smile, and I couldn’t help myself but to laugh a little myself and smile right back at her.
