The couple was trying to escape a hoard of hounding paparazzi when the driver of their car crashed in the underpass below the Place de l’Alma. Diana was rushed to the hospital with extensive injuries to the chest and numerous broken limbs where she later died.(Chua, page 2) Her brother, Earl Charles Spencer, once said, “I always believed the press would kill her in the end. Not even I could imagine that they would take such a direct hand in her death, as seems to be the case.” The royal family made no royal statement of Diana’s death but they did provide Diana with the funeral of a royal. He says that Diana, Princess of Wales, was born Diana Frances Spencer on July 1st, 1961. Her parents divorced at a young age, leaving her and her siblings in a bitter custody battle. When her father inherited the title of Earl Spencer, she became Lady Diana Spencer. After she finished with school, she worked as a nanny and a kindergarten teacher. She had a passion for taking care of children. She grew up knowing the Royal family quite well. Princess Diana’s younger brother is the Queen’s godson.
