Prewriting of any paper, first entails a topic, without a topic we would have nothing to write about. I like to use Mind mapping, when I write my research papers; I take a whiteboard and put my topic in the center of the board in a circle. Then I add extensions to the topic with more circles that are connected to one another by a single line between one another. These added circles will be my topic of paragraphs and the information I will be discussing within them. I usually do 4-5 sentences within my paragraphs with a closing statement and then transition to my next paragraph. I write about 3-5 different paragraphs and then with a closing statement that backs up the information that I have presented for my readers to read. Mind mapping is the biggest part of writing a paper, due to the changes you make as you develop your arguments or statement that you want to convey in your paragraphs from your mind maps data. …show more content…
After I have my mind map completed, I take an outline of what I want to write about, like topics for each paragraph’s and added, words that I will elaborate on within these paragraphs.
Research is a big aspect of a paper; finding facts that support your stated argument “How do the skills you’re learning in General Education courses apply to your future career”. There are many facets of resources in looking for information you're wanting to add to your paper; From The World Wide Web, local libraries, magazines, journals, and newspapers to interviewing friends and family, and the present student body. Once I have a good understanding of the information I am trying to convey to my readers, I start to free-write and this is where I find it fun to just write freely. As I develop my paper I am constantly correcting and changing the papers structure and understanding; to make it streamlined and simple and easy to read. I like to use online paper checkers, friends and family, and other instructors or teachers; to review and give feedback before I finalize my
paper. Enjoyable papers will always have your reader's attention, and when we lose our readers their most likely stop reading. Take the time and plan-ahead, brainstorm finding your topic, do a mind map or some sort of outline of the body of your paper, go over it and re-read it may times and make the changes needed. Make use of online paper correction sites, and share it with others, until you finalize your paper. Keep your paper simple, easy to read and understand; and your reader's attention will be there always to the last period.
I have always had troubles writing the introduction of papers. The introduction is the base and sets the mood of the whole paper. I believe it is the most important paragraph in the paper. But once I develop the introductory paragraph, I find the rest of the paper easier to write. In order for me to better myself in writing introductory paragraphs, I just have to get more in touch with my creative side. After the rough draft, the students of the class would bring their papers to the course and would get into groups to peer review the papers. This would helpful to receive the views of our peers to help edit our assignment. After the peer review of the rough draft, the next step of the writing process was the revision. The revision was when we take the information and opinions from the groups and corporate them into our papers. Also, for the revision, you would offer work days for you to proof read our paper before we had to type our final copy. This was extremely beneficial for us to get your opinion on our paper d...
When writing a paper the process can vary from a few hours to several days. English teachers have several different ways they teach their students how to write as well as the method to use. Knowing the perfect way to prepare to write for a paper takes several years to master. Once you know what method works best for you, writing becomes less stressful. Preparing for the rhetorical analysis paper, I used all the best methods to have a smooth transaction from the begging till the end.
The process of writing papers can be very frustrating. You must first get your ideas together. Getting your ideas together can be one of the hardest parts of writing because you could possibly not know what di...

As I reflect on the two videos, I would like to share a statement from the American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) web site. The society has the following statement regarding support of the initiatives:
My artifacts are two samples of students’ work. They are both formative math assessments on coins and were used during my student teaching experience. One sample assesses students’ ability to identify coins by its image, value and name by sorting. The other sample assesses students’ ability to solve money word problems by adding or subtracting coins.

In the Field: A Guide for the Social Work Practicum, helps students to make the leap from the theories they learned in the classroom to the real world they will encounter in their field placement. It addresses issues that students often struggle within their beginning practicum and reinforces that co-workers, supervisors, and the students ' own life experiences have much offer (Danowski, 2012).
I start my writing process with a list of possible topics to research. Once I have chosen a topic, I tend to do some initial research to get ideas for subtopics within the paper. I then start my online document and work on my introduction and, more importantly, my thesis or hook statement. I also add a brief explanation of the topic of each paragraph and proceed to look for evidence such as direct quotes to support the body of my paper. After I have found my evidence, I am able to develop my ideas around it. Usually, if I feel that the paragraph does not fully support my argument or topic, I add in more evidence and continue to build the section. While working on my body paragraphs, I also tend to go back to my introduction
ading annotations have improved the way I read. I am more organized and annotating is a good way to track what I have read. By annotating I remember the information I read longer than when I don’t. All the reading has given me practice annotating and I now annotate all the articles that I get from other classes because this has helped me turn annotating in a habit. The reading that I was most engaged in was Just Walk on By: Black Men and Public Space by Brent Staples. Brent told his story beautifully and I felt that I identified with Staples because I have faced discrimination myself. I had different reactions/emotions while reading his story and that’s what made it my favorite because if a story evokes strong emotions from your then the author
Read Aloud (with shared reading): I will read aloud the pages on the left; the children will read aloud with me the pages on the right.
I went to my primary care practicum site only once this week because I will be attending VCNP conference this week. Healthworks of Northern Virginia provides comprehensive care to the insured and uninsured patients. There is no requirement of residency and patient pay on sliding fee scale for services regardless of their legal status. This week there was 8 to 9 no shows. This is the maximum number of no shows that I have noticed in last two and half month. When my preceptor inquired about the situation with the manager, we found out that many patients are scared to come due to the fear of new immigration policy. Thus, I was only able to see 6 patients on Monday. I have completed 201 hours for my practicum III. I plan to finish all my practicum
The processes that work best for me is thinking about my topic then making a bullet list of important points to mention in my paper, and once that is done I will type my rough draft. Somebody will revise it then I will go back and correct any errors. Brainstorming and thinking hard about how I should word my sentences help a lot too, and web clusters, venn diagrams are good resources to use. These are all techniques I will take with me into the
Community service comes in many different forms that many students in America already embody voluntarily. Depending on the community one lives in, the possibilities are endless for the types of community service one could partake in. Community service is important on both ends of the spectrum: for those who are benefiting from the kind act and for those who are performing the local duty. Many people, such as the elderly, are able to receive much needed help in a wide variety of things. Also those volunteering are able to benefit from a moral uplifting.
Learning in writing was difficult, but later on getting easier. I knew how to write an essay. One day I had a teacher named Mrs. Buchanan show me the umbrella and understand it more. Like writing an essay with a thesis statement. From there having Topics with a main idea. A Main Idea, it should have supported details to back up the main sentence. So the reader can understand the essay and each topic the writer is talking about. After that it should have a concluding paragraph to close it up.
