Preventive maintenance cost effectiveness:
Reliability is one of primary criteria of any maintenance activities. It’s an industry that requires high reliability levels throughout the operation of the aircraft. Preventive maintenance procedures are applied to maintain this reliability at an optimum level. Although higher level of Preventive Maintenance is not economical but if not performed than it may lead to failure of parts or equipment which lead to the aircraft grounded for long duration which may lead to huge economic loss to the company.
Requirements:
Communication is the key factor in reducing the cost of Preventive Maintenance. If the

It reduces the paper digging mode. It’s easy and convenient. Access anywhere
The best advantage of the CMMS is that it can be used anywhere globally through its remote server and cloud based application by the authorized persons.
Supply chain management
Supply Chain Management is a back bone of any maintenance organization. CMMS is very helpful for the Supply Chain Management as it manages inventory levels as required (to maintain the stock level)and place the order to the designated vendors as when required automatically. So, helps in reducing the cost by manpower deployment for day to day activities for reordering and inventory control.
Centralize your efforts
Maintenance activities are streamlined with the CMMS as all the departments can work syncronisingly.ie Maintenance, Planning, Customer services, Procurement, Operations etc,
Real-time information
The CMMS keeps you apprised of your organization’s maintenance activities in real time. Managers can see which assets are offline, who is working on what and what still needs to be done and what all maintenance calls are still

The serviceability of all parts are denoted by the serviceability tags which certifies the part is new, repair or overhauled and are ready to use .The serviceability tag is been issued by the authorized person with his name , approval number and date. Similarly the unserviceable parts are properly identified by their unserviceable tags and these unserviceable parts are kept separated in zone .(Quarantine zone)
The individual in charge of the work must inform his supervisor about the reason of the removal of the parts.
The damaged parts detailed to be recorded on the reporting system indentifying the issue, related risks and prescribed controls.
The removed or damaged parts should be properly tagged with unserviceable tag and kept in Quarantine Zone
Objectives of Maintenance Management:
The following are some of the objectives of maintenance
The TC 3.04.7 (Army Aviation Maintenance), chapter 1 has a section on Army Maintenance Planning and Execution. It lays out P4T3 (Problem, Plan, People, Parts, Time, Tools, Training), which is every maintenance officer’s tool on how to run a successful maintenance program. In theater you have the people, parts, tools, and training. What sometimes is lacking is the Plan and Time. A solution could be to essentially build an assembly line when conducing phases and using this P4T3 model; it would ultimately shorten the phase time in the hanger. For example, the Longbow has many sections to complete when conducting a 500hr Phase. If you assigned people who are extremely versed in performing maintenance in that particular section of the aircraft, they will continue to do maintenance on that aircrafts section for the time that they are at that phase location (i.e. Camp Taji). Secondly, assign a Power-On Team at the end of the phase to assist the Maintenance Test Pilots to do their ground and flight Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC’s). This Team will be in charge of all the rigging, hanging blades and further unforeseen unscheduled maintenance.
...and the useful life of the machine should be calculated. Then, depending on the method used, the total cost of the machine is considered as a long term asset and depreciated over the life expectancy of the asset.
Service time- The time needed to complete the task at the station is the service time.
Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) means systematic caring, inspecting, and servicing of military equipment to keep it in good condition and to prevent breakdowns. The operator of the vehicle mission is to be sure to perform PMCS each time he/she operate the vehicle. Always do the PMCS in the same order, so it gets to be a habit. Once you've had some practice, you will quickly spot anything wrong.
MillerCoors can establish the context as generalized machinery failure. Through identifying the risk, MillerCoors can identify the source of machinery failure could happen anywhere from production machinery to delivery equipment, with the causation arising from mishandling of machinery, general wear and tear or even sabotage events. Consequently, failures in machinery could not only create operational delays, but would cause financial loss and increased liability. Depending on the age and the extent of personnel training, the likelihood of machinery failure would vary drastically within the organizations and between brewery operations. To properly evaluate machinery failure risk, all eligible assets should be broken down into different levels, based in the type, age and complexity of the machinery. To reduce the risk and loss potential, MillerCoors, should instill performance measure to within policies and procedures to makes sure equipment is regularly inspected. In addition, the organization should focus on provided proper and frequent training to make sure personnel are educated in the use of the organizations machinery. Therefore, through the risk management process MillerCoors can provide treatment to reduce the effects of machinery

...ial approaches which are Normal Accident and HROs, although it seems certain that both of them tends to limit the progression that can contribute toward achieving to highly protective systems. This is because the scope of the problems is too narrow and the potential of the solutions is too limited as well. Hence, Laporte and Consolini et.al., (1991) as cited in Marais, et.al., (2004) conclude that the most interesting feature of the high reliability organization is to prioritize both performance and security by the managerial oversight. In addition, the goal agreement must be an official announcement. In essence, it is recommended that there is a continuing need in the high risk organizations for more awareness of developing security system and high reliability environment in order to gain highly successful method to lower risk in an advance technology system.
If equipment flaw or a defective part is spotted, the damaged machine directly stops, and operators halt production and rectify the identified problem. It is essential ...
Inspection between each flight besides avoiding accidents, it also helps engineers to understand what problems that would be aroused by operation environment. Pre-flight inspection of Aloha 243 was only carried out before the first flight each day which is inadequate. Besides, all inspection records at each inspection should be kept; it records all the status of the parts and help engineers to understand how the aircraft structures would be affected after each operation.
Instead of waiting for a condition to arise in the human body, people should practice preventive care to maintain ideal health and prevent illnesses from occurring in the first place. Preventive care includes such things as immunizations and vaccines, routine physicals, regular medical checkups and periodic colonoscopies.
Risk Analysis and retesting is emphasized. Each risk found is retooled and retested until resolved.
As the development of aviation industry grows, more and more aircraft crashes occur. There are many reasons that lead to aircraft crashes, but one of them, is because of improper aircraft maintenance. Why is proper aircraft maintenance so important? Proper aircraft maintenance is critical in order to keep the aircraft can function properly, every aircraft part is in good condition and ensure the safety of pilots and passengers. Proper maintenance has many parts. The most common part is inspections, which pilots do them every day; the main part is overhaul and repair of an aircraft; and maintenance documentation is another important part of aircraft maintenance which improper maintenance documentation has caused many incidents.
Preventive maintenance can be defined as an activity performed on a certain schedule which is intended to prevent breakdowns or deterioration. These activities can include regular inspection along with solving any discovered problems or situations and regularly scheduled parts changes. Preventive maintenance involves the scheduled adjustment, inspection, replacement of wearable parts, calibrations, basic cleaning and lubrication of equipment or other recommendation made by the equipment manufacturer. These activities can help increase the equipment functional life and help decrease facilities deterioration. No equipment should, No equipment should reach the breaking point [1].

It’s true what everyone talks about safety – you are the key to your safety, when you do it safely you do it the right way and the best gift you can give to your family is to always stay safe. We have been taught by our parents and teachers to be cautious while doing a number of things. That’s very essential in our daily lives, because one needs to be extra cautious to prevent unavoidable accidents. However, mishaps do happen everywhere in the safest of places, no matter how careful we are in our actions. It is highly unpredictable, what’s going to happen the very next instant. There are numerous incidences we come across like simple trips, falls, cuts due to sharp objects, burns or sudden worsening of a person’s health condition, causing
