Did you know that when Pretty Boy Floyd robbed banks he would often destroy banks’ mortgage records, which left many people debt free. Arrested and swore never to go to prison, but it didn’t work out. Plus, wanted for numerous cases.

Charles “Pretty Boy” Floyd was born in Adairsville, Georgia on February 3, 1904. His family moved to Oklahoma soon after that, where they owned a farm and were extremely poor. First arrested at eighteen when he stole $3.50 in coins from a post office. At twenty years old, Floyd married Ruby Hardgraves; they had a son, Charles “Jack” Dempsey Floyd. Later he was arrested for a payroll robbery in St. Louis, Missouri on September 16, 1925 for five years.

The two went on a crime spree across several states until Miller was killed in a spectacular firefight in Bowling Green, Ohio, in 1931. Once he was back in Kansas City, Floyd killed a federal agent during a raid and became a nationally known criminal
