In President Franklin Delano Roosevelt speech “Four Freedoms” he stated “The basic things expected by our people of their political and economic systems are simple. They are: Equality of opportunity for youth and for others. Jobs for those who can work. Security for those who need it. The ending of special privilege for the few. The preservation of civil liberties for all. The enjoyment — The enjoyment of the fruits of scientific progress in a wider and constantly rising standard of living” (Roosevelt par. 3). Better life is having a good education, housing, and environment. As President Franklin Delano Roosevelt stated in he’s speech “Address on the Occasion of the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Statue of Liberty” in addition “Out of that reservoir, out of the melting pot, the rich promise which the New World held out to those who came to it from many lands is finding fulfillment” (Roosevelt par. 12). In other words, the promise of America that the wealthy New World are propose to those hardworking Americans around the world who want to fulfill their dreams to have a better life in America because they deserve it. This welcome great opportunity that enables individual to achieve their dream to be successful in life. In J. Hector St. John de Crèvecoeur letter “What is America?” he wrote “ The American is a new man, who acts upon new principles; he must therefore entertain new ideas, and form new opinions” (Crèvecoeur par. 3).
