Racism is defined as the belief of all members of each race possess characteristics or abilities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races. Courtesy of wikipedia. Racism is what I believe not fully understood, meaning… well I guess what i'm trying to say is racism is NOT dead. In the world today they’re so many altercations where a race feels lesser than another race. For example, a lot of African Americans feel that they are lesser than a caucasian because in past history we weren't as equal as them and i feel we still aren't.
To me Racism means for one race to hate or dislike another race. This term has affected society in so many ways like classification, stereotypes, and the main thing discrimination. I feel classifying someone because of their race is basically inhuman and just plain childish. It's just like if I go up to a hispanic person and ask if they are legal or do that speak english or just automatically thinking that they don't have anything putting them in the poor category. …show more content…

By definition it means a widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. This is pretty much judging a book by it's cover like when someone sees a black person they automatically think they are trying to rob them, in a gang, have kids at a young age, or just very ghetto. Not every person is like that, it just all depends on how you were raised. In my personal life I have never been involved with stereotypes or with any racist remarks because of where I am from. No one really sees color just personality and I think that's how this whole world should view
