...The results of the survey showed that international travel is more preferred than domestic travel according to the two sections that the authors asked for participation; J1A and J1C. Upon searching for the reasons why international travel is likely more appreciated, the authors analyzed some details about traveling across the boundaries of a certain country. It’s up to them if they choose international travel rather than domestic travel, but some people believe that appreciating your own culture is the first thing to do before you look at the other view.

Throughout history, traveling both domestically and internationally has been a major aspect of American life. Whether traveling for work, vacation, or even just leisure, Americans have always been on the move. Although, from Arthur C. Brooks article, “How to Get Americans Moving Again,” it is evident that times are changing. In “How to Get Americans Moving Again,” Brooks portrays an America that has had an immense percentage decrease in the amount of Americans that domestically move between states. This decrease is due to a traveling environment that has left a vast amount of fear and uncertainty in the hearts of travelers, which has caused them to stay home. Considering the current circumstances that Americans are traveling in, which includes
The food is good, the air clean, the sunshine warm, the nights chill and the sights spectacular. AND I’m an international travel junkie – say ‘NYC’ and my eyes light up. Say ‘London’ and I shudder with delight. Berlin, Vienna, Florence, Melbourne cause me to tremble with pleasure. Rio, Buenos Aires, Helsinki, Havana, Tokyo and St. Petersburg are calling and I hope to see them all.

It is good to travel for pleasure. Emerson tells us people who travel for their own enjoyment, do not seek within themselves. I say people who travel will be less ignorant, and therefore, will develop their true personality to rely on themselves. Ibn Battuta once said, Traveling leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller. Pico Iyer would certainly agree with the quote. In his essay, “Why We Travel” he describes travel as a journey to a subjective zone. It is about the traveler and the place where traveler’s qualities and inputs are crucial since different people have their distinctive perceptions. Suzy Gershman, Jim Benning, and Rajendra Khadka show that they share different approaches from the other character within the story. This essay will depict the subjectiveness of the each story mentioned and how travelers distinctively experience the voyage into their travel destination.
Travel has increased throughout the years. According to World Tourism Organization travel has increased by 5% in 2013 with 1,087 million people traveling. This is an additional 52 million international travels from the previous year. This increase in travel has brought a very positive impact on many economies around the world and is predicted to continue to do so in the following years. In 2014 UNWTO believes international travel will continue to grow up to 4-4.5%. Throughout the world the places most influenced by the demand for tourism are Asia and the pacific, Africa, and Europe (World Tourism Organization UNWTO). This increase in travel has shown that more people have decided to immerse themselves into new experiences and cultures, and that travel companies believe that more and more people will begin and continue to travel.
