The Career Exploration choice that appealed to me the most was the job of a Flight Attendant. I think that traveling the world would be very exciting and as a Flight Attendant I would have a chance to travel, meet lots of different people and experience different cultures around the world. Flight Attendants do not make a lot of money at first but I think it would be ok to work up to a higher salary, especially since Zarin said that the airline pays for your expenses. The idea of being a flight attendant is a little impossible for me. I don’t think I would enjoy the constant moving around or having to deal with people all the time. However, the idea of spending at least a few years of my life traveling the world as always appealed to me. I think having job security and arrangements would allow me a safe and structured way to experience different environments.
I am an auditory and tactile learner; I would assume that I would enjoy a profession that stimulates those senses. As a Developmental Therapist I would be able to work in a hands- on environment and there is a large auditory component to therapy especially when it involves young children. I would also be in a similar situation as a Flight Attendant; I would be able to actively work in a natural environment instead of behind a desk. I would have more of an authoritative position in Developmental Therapy then I would as a Flight Attendant. The environment of a Developmental Therapist is not as uniformed, and more open to interpretation and more spur of the moment decisions, especially when responding to a child. As a Flight Attendant, despite the fact that I would be travelling the world my working environment would stay the same. I don’t know how well I would be able to handl...

...ons for myself, I’m only good at doing that for other people. Good jobs for me would be a philosopher, writer or theologian. I really don’t want to be any of those things. All these career choices are very far away from both a Flight Attendant and a Developmental Therapist. I don’t really think that I could ever be happy as a flight attendant, it feels too limited. However, I do think that there are other career options that involve traveling that I would enjoy more. I would like the sense of freedom that traveling freely around the world would give me. However, I know that I need stability and comfort in my life, coming back to a place I call home is important to me. Hopefully, I will find a job or position that fully uses my talents and allows me to experience the world but also gives me the chance to think and implement things that can help improve the world.
Dealing with babies and people is something I love, and I want to incorporate that into a job. That’s why becoming an Ultrasound Technician is something I was to pursue because I have the heart for working in the medical field, I love babies, and I will be constantly using skills every day on the job. I have been influenced by my family and friends because they always tell me how I have the heart for working in the medical field. They say I would absolutely love it if I stick with it. My personality assessment and interest inventory told me that I would be best in working in a health career because of my ability to constantly help people and how much I care about my accomplishments. I care more about my prestige and accomplishments than my
The following career I have chosen describes who I am, where I want to go, and what I want to accomplish in the near future.
My work experience helped me confirm my interest when I got to see the roles of Occupational Therapists first hand. I was able to spend time shadowing an individual from a special needs school, which moved onto being able to run sessions with minimal help in gross and fine motor skills with the children who have a wide range of disabilities. It was a great experience to observe how everyday objects could be used to help build up these skills and how much the children enjoyed the activities. I was also able to shadow an OT within the Early Intervention in Psychosis team, this
I find occupational therapy to pique my drive to teach people valuable life skills as well as learn from those people and their experiences. Being an occupational therapist would allow me to have one-on-one interactions with patients and establish meaningful relationships over the course of time. It would also give me the dutiful privilege and responsibility of instilling confidence in others and helping them realize their full potential in self-suffiency. All of my personal experiences, challenges, educational backgrounds, and professional interactions have guided me toward pursuing my goals of gaining experience working in all populations, enabling patients to thrive in their daily lifestyle, and spread public awareness of what OT has

As a kid, I recall my parents and many relatives frequently asking, "What do you want to be when you grow up?", and without hesitation, I would think of the coolest occupations. My answers would usually comprise of being a cop, nurse, astronaut or the President of the Untied States. It was difficult to pick one, as there were numerous jobs that held my interest. For some individuals, dream occupations turn into a reality. Often times, the professions we loved growing up becomes a fun memory in the past. Throughout my childhood, my parents valued the significance and importance of regarding and helping other people. Before attending college, I was uncertain of my career plan, however; was one thing I was sure of was: the longing to help, to teach, and/or to positively affect others.
The career i want to pursue my life with is cosmetology. Being a cosmetologist is a unique job, depending on what your working with. The profession of medical doctor appeals to me for those reasons. My future plan includes an education at McGill University, in the M.D/M.B.A program. Being a physician with leadership training will allow me to accomplish my lifelong dream managing a team of doctors. The human body is a mechanism combining all the scientific fields (biochemistry, biophysics, etc.) My creativity can be utilized to create innovative, and revolutionary technologies, improving the flight experience. Therefore, another option is becoming an Aerospace Engineer, after studying at the McGill Institute for Aerospace Engineering.
Take the answers you got from the questions above and make a list of how you can pursue what interests you in different ways. For instance, if you would travel if you had no limits, then try something where travel is the focus. This doesn 't mean you have to travel yourself, but you could work at a hostel where you will meet a ton of travelers and get insight into whether or not the life is really for
Every dream needs a spark, and for me, the match that lit my passion for pediatric occupational therapy occurred when I was in sixth grade. In 2012, my cousin was horrifically injured in a school bus crash that left him in critical condition. However, seeing the remarkable recovery he made with the help of his doctors and therapists was truly a miracle. With their aid, he went from being connected to machines in a hospital bed to living life as a rowdy teenage boy; this led to my desire of helping kids in similar situations as his. Recently, I shadowed an occupational therapist. I observed her treating both the pediatric and adult population with a variety of diagnoses including, but not limited to, developmental delay, sensory processing disorder,
I would like to study being a cosmetologist because it is a very intermediate and interesting career. I find this career interesting because I love to do hair and I love changing my hair style all the time. I feel as though I like to express my self through hair and I could expand expressing through doing other people’s hair. I think that you could almost tell someone’s personality by looking at their hair style.
In summary, throughout my life many career choices have crossed my mind. I have tried being a stay-at-home mom and a hospital employee. I am working on trying computers. The path I chose in computers is yet to be decided but the opportunities are vast. My current path leaves me many opportunities in healthcare and computers but the possibilities do not stop there. With further education I could still do anything.
I know what I want to do with my life which is travel and serve. I became aware of that when I was very young through my adventures around the world. I have set myself up for success by challenging myself academically and joining clubs which allow me to live out my passion and gain useful
For some people they aspire to have a specific career for their entire lives and know exactly where they want to receive their post secondary education. This was not my experience. Honestly, I had an extremely difficult time deciding on the occupation I wanted to pursue because I enjoy numerous, diverse hobbies and see multitudes of careers as interesting and important. After immense research and contemplation I found a career I believe is perfect for me and will allow me to be challenged and grow but also sustain any future financial needs.
In conclusion i find that i would like to go into the job of being a pilot because I feel like I could prosper from the job. I would love to experience the job of flying through the air without a care in the world (other than that of my passengers). I would love to experience the passion of going to new places and learning about different cultures. This is why i would choose to be a pilot.
