What is the essence of Rizal’s dying if the Philippines will be engraved by politicians who serve not because of their loyal and dedicated concern for people but because of their own self interest? What will happen to our nation if this anomalous controversy will not unfold the truth?
Rizal exerted a full effort by writing different nobles and poems to enlightened the mind of Filipinos about the brutality and unscrupulous form of government that Spaniards entreated with us. We must bear in our mind that it is a clear indications that if they were elected again, there is a strong possibility that our country will suffer more because the corrupt and ambitious mind is inherent and cannot be removed from these kind of government officials.
The government officials who are being accused of this scam must be jailed and imprisoned to ensure that they will be sentenced and they will realized the tragic feeling of the poor Filipinos who was strived and become an orphanage of real progress and success of our nation. We must unite to each other to make them feel that we are ready to revolt against these corrupt officials because the power of democracy and independence is really with ourselves.

Their voices need to be heard on what they believe is right and just. Nobody should be abused and treated cruelly by anybody. This issue needs attention not only by the foreign country’s Government but the Philippine Government as well. No overseas workers should fear addressing these issues because it violates human rights such as the right to freedom. They need to man up and let their voices be heard. The Philippine Government needs to take immediate action regarding this concern. They need to listen to their people’s plea. Expanding and beautifying main roads is not the answer. The answer is to stop sending workers overseas and to create more local jobs that can be beneficial to all and will stop locals pursue working overseas.
The scene is set; America is the great power in the western hemisphere. Post Spanish-American War, America is faced with a dilemma of annexing the Philippines. In the winter of 1899 following the annexation of the Philippines, America had a problem. Filipinos had been fighting for independence from Spain and did not want to be seceded (83). Despite the Filipino objection, the United States displayed their assertion on the land. In conflict, both the Filipinos and American had many meetings with death. In today’s light, the Progressive Era is seen as a time period where people’s lives changed for the better, but none of that change would have been possible without muckrakers exposing the numerous problems that lied hidden from the American public. Our political system has always been incorporated with corruption; it is functional to the system. The system’s flawed manner is to reproduce itself. Corruption has plagued society. It is the torment of the people, the land weeping, and the disorder of society. These three political leaders started off with accomplishments that were great and benefited our nation. But all three were overshadowed by their mistakes and scandals. This in fact has led to my conclusion that history does not repeat itself but instead counterpart each other that each led to suffering.

The barangays often remained constrained to itself, although they made allies with other barangays and this decision was often based off of the relations of the parents of the previous barangay leaders (Rodell 28). The Philippines has long been a country with a struggling economy. Ever since World War II, they have struggled to have a steady government and labor system. Independence did not bring any social changes to the country. The hacienda system still persists in the country, where large estates are farmed by sharecroppers. More the half the population are peasants and 20 percent of the population owns 60 percent of the land. Although the sharecropper is supposed to receive half of the harvest, most of the peasant's actual income goes to paying off debts to the landowner. Poverty and conflict strained the industrial growth of the country with many Presidents trying to fix the problems, but failing to do so. Factors that have faced the country are there is almost 9 percent unemployment, and the country suffers from the consequences of a balance of trade deficit. With the resources that the Philippines have, they are capable of pulling themselves out of the economical hole they are in and being up to par with their successful neighboring countries.
