Shopping is a hobby that I definitely enjoy. As one can shop for many things such as food, clothes, household items, and personal hygiene, I particularly enjoy shopping in one of these categories. When going shopping, I look forward to walking into a shop that is filled with great customer service, genuine clothes, and wonderful sales. However, there is one more thing that makes every shop different and that is the fragrance of the shop. Extraordinary fragrances make a big difference as they change the setting of the shop and customer viewpoints of the shop. The Polo Ralph Lauren Store tends to be the ideal place for excellent customer service, great clothes, pleasing sales, and most importantly fragrances that will make someone lose themselves …show more content…
Unlikely but surely, Polo Ralph Lauren has sales that are always helpful to the customer. These sales occur very often so customers do not have to go at a certain time of the year in order to receive special sales. Every time I have gone, I have always witnessed a sale. It seems as sales occur at every day of the year. For example, the whole month of October witnesses a sale of twenty-five percent due to Breast-cancer awareness. The following month, November, is going to consist of a thanksgiving sale, and after that, in December, there is going to be a Christmas sale. Polo Ralph Lauren creates sales that make their clothes economically affordable for customers. Though, the most important thing that makes the Polo Ralph Lauren store the most different from all other stores is the fragrance of the store. When you walk into the store, your nose is hit with the unique scent of Polo Ralph Lauren. The scent consists of a clean, business like atmosphere that leaves you feeling like you are Bill Gates or some other well-known, successful, and important person. You could be working as a bathroom cleaner, but the fragrance generated inside the store will leave you feeling as if you are the next person to be featured on the Forbes

Each floor I stopped at had a variety of stores. From eery-looking stores selling Halloween and magic merchandise to a magazine shop selling vintage Playboys and Time magazines from the 40s, to a saloon that invited customers, every corner filled up with something worth staring at or dropping my jaw on. Tibetan artefacts, leather bags, indie artist studios, thrift shops, liquor stores, stationary, carpentry shops, jewellery stores, clothing like t-shirts, hats, ties, and belts, pet care, human care, hair styles, Seattle mementoes, and thousands of other little and large shops lit up as customers
... multiple catalogs and advertisements to find the stores where they will be able to get the best deals. Then, they create a plan of the stores where they will shop. Often times, people will go on Thanksgiving evening to get a spot in line at a store, in order to be one of the first shoppers allowed inside the store.

Scent within the novel Perfume by Patrick Suskind has been regarded as a supernatural element that transcends the physical realm and into the spiritual. In 18th Century France, Jean-Baptiste Grenouille is born with the supernatural ability to smell, while lacking his own individual odour. The power of scent is revealed to have manipulative qualities that shape the way an individual perceives someone based off odour. Suskind uses the characters of Grenouille and Madame Gaillard to convey the effect that scent has on the emotional spirituality of humans as both have a disability with their olfactory sense. Grenouille utilises the power of scent to create his own perfume which emphasizes scent possessing qualities beyond the natural world.

Dior uses different market segmentations to sell their product. First of all, there is a geographic segmentation. Perfumes are luxury products. Thus, they target wealthier areas like North America, Western Europe, Japan, etc. Since Dior is popular worldwide, we can obviously find it everywhere, but their market is based on these areas’ needs. Then, they use demographic segmentation. They target adult women who have quite high incomes. Perfumes are something not everybody can afford. This fragrance can be worn for any occasion, special as well as regular; it is light but demonstrates personality and feminity. They are trying to get a medium to strong loyalty status. As for any perfume, if a woman likes it; she will probably buy it again. It is a very accessible product. Aromas we smell are processed in the limbic system of the brain which is where emotions and memories are stored. So we are literally tapping into a very deep part of the brain when sniffing a fragrance. There is no filter on the sense of smell either, so we drop into those emotions or memories instantly. This can happen out of the blue, when we least expect it. A stranger on the street might wear the same cologne as a first lover, causing us to feel breathless and sentimental. Perhaps the scent of a musty cabinet might smell exactly like grandmother’s attic where we used to play as a child triggering joyful memories. Scent is powerful. In products it might achieve a myriad of results like give us confidence, keep us calm, or make us feel sexy. A well-fragranced product should be a gift and tool for the
