On Friday, December 2, 2016, the complainant reported to the Metropolitan Police Sixth District that he was robbed at gun point by an unknown male.
The Sixth District Detective’s Office was requested to assist in this investigation. Detective Simon Yammine responded to the 4400 block of Clay Street Northeast and interviewed the complainant. During the interview, the complainant stated that approximately 1908 hours, she was walking east in in the rear alley of 4042 Clay Place Northeast. When she was met by a masked male suspect, the suspect pointed a black in color hand gun in the direction of the complainant’s face and stated “GIVE ME YOUR MONEY BITCH”. The complainant walked away but the suspect started pulling on her hand bag. The complainant resisted at which time the suspect pushed her onto the ground. Subsequent to the robbery, the suspect fled the scene west bound in the alley of the 4200 block of Clay Street Northeast. As result of the robbery, the complainant sustained lacerations to her hands and knees. This individual had committed several robberies in the immediate area the night before. Officer Shiffer was driving an unmarked vehicle and Officer Volpe was in the front passenger seat. Both officers were wearing tan pants and blue polo shirts with MPD police insignia on the front and back.
