A cop suddenly got him in a chokehold. The cop was choking him with all the cops force he had. When Eric Garner was getting choked he was saying that he couldn't breath. The cops were ignoring him and then when the cop stop choking him he was dead. The cops tried to talk to him but, when they tried he wouldn't respond. In 1991, Los Angeles Rodney king was getting hit by five officers with batons more than 50 times. After what happen to him police got their jobs back and brutality is still happening. This is the intentional use of “excessive force by an authority figure, which oftentimes ends with bruises, broken bones, bloodshed, and sometimes even death” (Harmon).
