_I believe I have been demonstrating the six pillars of character in the PASB Community more than people might think.To show respect is to be well-mannered and caring towards your fellow peers and authorities, “treat others the way you want to be treated”, that’s what I believe in and follow through my everyday life as I associte with others. With this in mind, I have never being into trouble due to my actions in PASB, and I try to trouble the ones around me as little as possible. Additionally I’m one of the few people who say “Good morning” and “Good afternoon” to the cleaning staff, for the sake of manners and citizenship . In addition, as mentioned before, I am not ashamed to admit my mistakes and I will pridefully do it if they are harming someone other than myself. I show Caring for both my friends and teachers by taking care to ask for their well being should they miss a class without warning, also in my personal life, I care for my sister when my mother can’t do it, and am the nurse and caretaker for all the animals I have at home should one be wounded or sick, and if the worst comes to be, I am the one to bury them and decorate their graves. I demonstrate fairness for being one of the few in the class who stands up to bullying and mean jokes, such as the latest one in which other students took and hid the pencil cases of one another, I always tried to give it back to them if it was passed on to me, and if it was one of my friends, I always tried and recuperate the lost items from the “robbers”. I represent the characteristics of NJHS because I show good leadership, character, citizenship, confidence, and focus. I respect everyone for who they are, and I treat everyone the same way. I have a commitment to learning. I will do everything I can to make good grades, and achieve my goal. In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game”, there are two main characters, Sanger Rainsford and General Zaroff. The story starts off with Rainsford and Rainsford’s hunting partner, Whitney, on a yacht heading to Rio de Janiero to hunt big game animals. Rainsford ends up becoming trapped on Ship-Trap Island, and that is where he and the reader are introduced to General Zaroff. Unfortunately for Rainsford, General Zaroff is not your normal General. General Zaroff and Rainsford are similar and different in many ways, and even though Rainsford believes that Zaroff is a sick individual, at the end of the story he becomes more like Zaroff than he realizes.
Next year, as I embark my first year at university, I hope to fully integrate myself into the community by getting involved in the Students' Union, joining the cheer team, volunteering where I can and making many new friends along the way. At university, I hope to maintain a high grade point average, granted that my education is extremely important to me and that I am extremely ambitious about achieving my goals.Therefore, I will commit lots of my time to my studies in hopes of being a successful student. Nevertheless, I am still looking forward to being a part of the community by devoting my extra time to helping those around me. In classes, I intend on being an active learner, a respectful student, and a helpful classmate; someone who is always willing to lend a hand to others. Through engaging in my community, I hope to bring joy to others around me by spending my time supporting local events, volunteering for fundraisers, and helping plan and organize campus activities.
Everyone has character, yet it is the way that you mold character that is important. I am open to feedback and will accept any recommendations that are offered. I am always willing to grow as a person and view others’ insights as doors to that growth. I am honest and open, and proudly represent Windham High School as well as the greater community of Windham. I am dedicated to whatever I undertake; whether it be that I am volunteering as an SSP or petsitting animals for a week. Being a leader is inseparable with a good character. I try to lead by example, be it picking up a piece of garbage in the halls or by just refusing to say a discriminatory word.
Camera work plays a key role in establishing Nolan's style in the opening scenes of The Dark Knight. The different shots Nolan uses gives the audience a deeper understanding of the direction in which the film is going. We are introduced to the film with an establishing shot of Gotham City, as the camera zooms in on one particular building. This helps establish the location and setting, as there are several skyscrapers present and it is day time. The next important shot in the opening scenes is when the camera zooms in on a man's lower back and mask, standing at the corner of a road. Nolan uses this shot to signal to the audience that this man is involved, he is in the centre of the frame therefore he will be important.
I can help make creative outlets to benefit the yearbook. I focus on work that contributes to my academic life. I am good at ignoring distractions. I can handle tough class work/ homework assignments. I can work well with other student even when I don't have the strongest positive relationship with them.
Throughout my time in ninth grade up to now, in eleventh grade, I have demonstrated myself as a prodigious character in New Hartford. Qualities such as, respect and responsibility are traits that have been engraved into who I am today. Many people think that you can enjoy life if you are tied down by a bunch of rules. In my opinion, I think having high moral standard for myself as an educator towards my students and to the public eye is very important to me. When I become an educator my reputation is on the line every day. Whether it’s how I dress or how I speak, no matter what I do I am being watched. I have come to terms that I am perfectly okay with that. Agreeing to Association of American Educators, I recognize that it is my duties are to communicate to parents all information, manifests a positive and active role in school/community relations, not willfully make false statements about a colleague or the school system and effort to protect the student from conditions detrimental to learning, health, or safety. Not only will my superior commander and colleagues will have high of standards for me, but Saint Leo University has high expectations for me as well. I understand that Saint Leo expects me to recognize students’ unique prior knowledge, promote achievement of students at all levels, and provide equitable learning opportunities for all students. In doing this, I will accomplish my position as a positive role model for my students and others. I have always considered myself a very promising student. I have worked extremely hard and received high grades. I have a close knit group of friends and my teachers and I have mutual respect for each other .Although I would consider myself at this present stage ‘fulfilled’ something was missing. I realized it wasn’t a materialistic aspect of my life. Through a tragic incident I finally discovered what fit perfectly in that vacancy. The consecutive hospitalizations of my grandparents evoked great pain and sorrow. However, out of the scorching intensity of this tragedy I was warmed and comforted by realizing what I was devoid of: community service.

While at Jesuit, I have “contributed to my school community quite a few times.” An example of my contribution to the community was when I helped with building a house through the charity Habitat for Humanity. The baseball team was given the opportunity to work on building a house, and it sounded like a fun thing to do with my friends. My friend Quinn and I were assigned the task of nailing the siding to the back of the house. We had to climb up to the top of twenty foot ladders in order to reach the top of the house, which was very scary. Then, while balancing on the high, unstable ladder, we had to nail four nails into each piece of siding. Even though the work was not easy, helping those less fortunate gave me a sense of pride in myself and my school. Also I feel I have become more capable of “putting myself in another’s place and understanding what that person is feeling”. Jesuit has taught me that everyone is different and has a unique situation. Before Jesuit I was quick to judge others, but now I am more understanding of what other people feel. When I saw a fellow student being bullied, I felt the same pain as him, because I had been in the same situation. Because of my experiences, I no longer laugh at kids when they are bullied and I stick up for them where possible. Finally, I am learning the harsh truth-- “not all friendships are long-lasting”. An example of my better understanding and of friendship and its unpredictable ways occurred as soon as I arrived at Jesuit in 8th grade. In 8th grade I was bullied for reasons that I am still not aware of. The people who I thought were going to be my friends until at least the end of my high school years had turned on me in the blink of an eye. My strengths are the ability to interaction with students. I will try to use my time to build positive relationship with individuals and keep record of their behaviors, characteristics and specific concerns. This will allow the students to trust me and allow me
