Physical therapy doctors and nurses are always found in the hospitals. Physical therapy doctors get paid about $85,400 per year. physical therapists are projected to grow 25 percent from 2016 to 2026. There are 3 main and important reasons that made me choose this career. First reason, physical therapy is the career that I chose to talk about because it is the major that I chose as my college career. From my point of view, I will be proud of myself when I become a physical therapy doctor because I want to help all the people who need my help. I want to help those people who I can help throughout my career. In addition, I chose this major because my family supported …show more content…
The people who have physical issues can be healed by a lot of ways that are offered by the physical therapy doctors. The people who have financial issues can be helped by the insurance who pays their hospital bills. I want to be one of the doctors who get paid from the people who can pay me and don’t get paid from the people who can’t pay me. I don’t want to be a bad doctor who only works to earn money for sure I would like to earn a lot of money, but first I must work hard to earn it, and for those people who can’t pay me, and the insurance doesn’t cover their hospital bills then I will just heal and help them to get better for

Since a young age, I always felt inclined towards pursuing a career in the health care field; daydreaming about myself working at a clinic or hospital and making a positive impact on someone’s life. When I started college, I decided to major in Biology and explored the different career options the health field had to offer me by shadowing dietitians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare workers to find my ideal job.
Chan answered the question, “What you recommend this job and why?”, by saying, “I would but it's dependent on who you are, if you are someone who likes to do investigation instead of being told ‘it is this’ but you want to find for yourself what it is and if you are someone that is active and likes to promote activity then I think it is you.”(Chan Personal Interview). In this occupation you need to preach your knowledge not by speaking but by moving your body. When the interview came to a close, my last question was asking what the advantages and disadvantages of being a Physical Therapist are. He described that the disadvantages include the patient care load and the paperwork (where he explained that you need to document your work or ‘cover yourself’ per say); for the advantages he interpreted that you get to preach an active lifestyle, become a detective when figuring out the diagnosis, get to gather evidence through different methods, and treat the idea of what you think the diagnosis is. When being a Physical Therapist, as a reward patients get to feel less pain and feel as if they are functioning better in life; where as I understand from being an athlete, “Movement is Happiness!”(Chan Personal
A physical therapist has many important duties. One duty of a physical therapist is to examine the patient’s movement by having them do a series of exercises. These exercises include walking and standing, or movement of the injury. After they examine the patient they plan a care plan for the patient. The care plan is different for every patient. Another duty of a physical therapist is to use the exercises, stretches, hands-on physical therapy and equipment to help ease pain, increase mobility, prevent further injury or pain, and make easier health and wellness for the patient. Also to educate the family about what to expect of the recovery process. The average salary of a physical therapist is $79, 860. Some other jobs that are in the same “career cluster” are speech therapist, occupational therapist, chiropody, flexibility/ strength trainer, and audiology. Physical therapists usually work in private offices and clinics, hospitals, and nursing homes. A physical therapist has many important responsibilities but I think the duties listed are the most important.
I wanted to be in a healthcare profession where I know I could spend quality time with my patients, and be able to help them to improve their quality of life in all aspects. Occupational therapy was the perfect fit. I have found that occupational therapy, amongst others, is one of the most holistic health care professions and I am very proud to have chosen this as the career path to take. It is a profession that requires understanding, compassion, and sensitivity; all of the characteristics that I tremendously value . Occupational therapy is a career where there will certainly be much contribution to society and also bring enormous self-fulfillment.

Educational requirements, opportunities and general demands of the career are only a few of the areas to inquire about in the field of physical therapy. This career is diverse in nature, in that a therapist sees many different ailments ranging from a sprained ankle to rehabilitating someone who has had an amputation. There is a fair degree of difficulty involved in becoming a physical therapist, and due to the high competition involved in entering the various Master’s degree programs as stated earlier, high grades and a positive attitude are very important for success in an interested student’s career. Volunteering is a great way to find out if a person would or would not be interested in entering the practice of physical therapy. This is an exciting career with many opportunities for advancement. This career is also a nice choice for those who become bored with the tedious monotony of a daily routine, since each day is a new experience.
From a young age I was interested in the medical field. As I became more exposed to the various options, I decided physical therapy was the right career for me. My experience has proved the field to be interesting and fun. I enjoy working with people and the versatility of therapy. There are many areas to specialize in and I look forward to learning which one is right for me. At the moment I am interested in pediatric acute care but I am also interested in sports and orthopedics. As I continue my studies, I look forward to learning about the different fields in which physical therapy will take me. My future views may change which physical therapy field I wish to pursue, but right now I look forward to learning as much as I can about physical therapy and helping others.
Physical therapy is a careers path that is extremely rewarding financially, which isn’t a surprise seeing that is in the medical field. My journey to pursue an education in physical therapy actually originates from my early childhood. I endured a very impoverished upbringing and my family’s socioeconomic status was below the poverty line. At a very young age, money became the central issue of my life. I found myself worrying about mortgages, health bills, and grocery money. As I grew older, I vowed to myself that I would not endure my family’s financial burdens into my adulthood. I knew the best way to accomplish this was by obtaining a college degree and having a professional career. However, I was unsure what career I wanted to pursue. I experimented with many different career ideas, but during my sophomore, I discovered my passion and skill for physical medicine. For my
A physical therapist does a lot of things to help patients get back to what they normally do day to day before an injury. They do this by coming up with plans that helps to reduce pains and help restore movements and make goals for patients. They help by having a hands-on approach and being able to help with exercises and stretches they also massage muscles to help manipulate them to move. They also use different technology to help with anything that deals with the movement or that would restrict movement such as ultrasounds and electrotherapy.
The career route I am interested in pursuing is Therapeutic Exercise / Physical Therapy. I plan on becoming a physical therapist after I successfully graduate CSUN with my bachelors degree in Kinesiology. A physical therapist’s job is to improve, sustain, and restore people’s maximum movement and functional ability. They also relieve pain and prevent permanent physical disabilities in their clients.
Since I now have researched all of the important facts about what it takes to become a physical therapist, the pro’s and con’s, information about current trends like the new health care laws, and learned about where the field is at today, I can now make a more informed decision about this career choice. At this time in my life I’m not prepared to take on the requirements that are needed to get into the DPT program. I am still interested in the field and since I can get a bachelors degree in any field to start the requirements for the program I may still consider this occupation as a career choice and pursue this more in the future. I do enjoy helping people and working hands and have always been interested in the health care field so this will be a great option that I’m now more informed about. 13
