Samoa is located in the Oceania, which is a region that has more than thousands of islands all over the central pacific ocean. The Oceania is controlled by Australia. Oceania is divided into three different levels High Island, continental islands, and Low Island. The islands have different features the continental has many of the physical features, but the low and high islands barely have and physical geography. Samoa has nine islands, the biggest is Savaii the second largest is Upolu. The islands Savaii and Upolu don’t have active volcanoes. Volcanic activity occurred once in 1911. The capital city is Apia is located in the northern of Upolu. Samoa is between Hawaii and New Zealand. There is little level of land, except in the coastal areas, where most agriculture is surrounding the area. Samoa has the most beautiful beaches, the seasons never change it always summer time.¬

The temperature stays constant through all year. In the summer it gets really hot but the highest temperature is 35 °C. It’s hot in the morning until the afternoon but when the sun goes down the cold breeze comes from the east-southeast. Samoa has a tropical climate but doesn’t mean that it’s always hot and humid. Rain fall from December until February. (Weather Online) Samoa is located in the southern hemisphere so summer lasts from November to February and winter from April to December. That doesn’t mean that in winter it’s extremely cold but it’s only cooler than summer. Typhoon can occur in Samoa but it only hit it on the end of January and mid March. Typhoon is an large, strong, and destructive storm. But the storm is not dangerous for Samoa. Because the route that the typhoon occurs often is not southern hemisphere it only occurs in the Philippines’ and china. The typhoons that every time they hit Samoa not every time they are strong. The climate of Samoa is AF; AF is a hot tropical and humid
Katmai’s climate really depends on the season. Katmai is relatively drizzly year round with strong winds, but with mostly moderate springs and autumns. Temperatures range from -4°F to 40°F in the winter, 36-56°F in the spring and autumn, and averaging 60°F in the summer. Katmai can get anywhere from two to forty inches of rain a year. In the winter (see figure 1), it can accumulate up to 14 inches of snow a month.
Mauna Loa is located on a hot spot in the Pacific Ocean. It is not near a plate boundary, in fact it is 3,200 km from the nearest plate boundary, and is situated in the middle of the Pacific tectonic plate. This is actually a rarity, as 90% of volcanoes are along a tectonic plate boundary. A hot spot occurs where long, stationary vertical pools of magma rise up and towards the plate. Movement of the tectonic plates above the hot spot created Mauna Loa, along with the other Hawaiian volcanoes. The older Hawaiian Islands were once above this stationary hot spot, but have been carried northwest by the slowly moving Pacific plate. As the plate moves, it carries the previously formed, older, volcanoes with it, creating a trail of younger, new volcanoes behind. The islands are lined up along the Hawaiian Ridge-Emperor Seamounts chain, which is 3,750 miles and includes Kauai, Maui, Oahu and Hawai’i, from north to south, respectively. There are around 80 volcanoes in this chain; most of them underwater, consequently the term seamount refer to submarine volcanoes. Three volcanoes of Hawai’i, Mauna Loa, Kilauea and Loihi seamount, are all currently sharing the Hawaiian hot spot. Although, recent evidence has shown that all three volcanoes use have separate plumbing systems to expel the lava from the pool of magma deep below them. It has also been suggested that Loihi is slowly moving Mauna Loa from the center of the island, thus shifting directly over the hot spot. The closer to the hot spot a volcano is, the more active it will be. The Hawaiian hot spot has laid down layers of lava, building up enormous islands from the ocean floor.
As Kohala Volcano emerged from the sea and joined with Mahukona, a much larger Big Island began forming. With continued movement of the Pacific Plate, the center of volcanism migrated on to Mauna Kea and Hualalai, the middle-aged volcanoes, and finally on to Mauna Loa and Kilauea, which are the youngest volcanoes on the island. Over the geologically short time of several hundred thousand years, these volcanoes erupted thousands of thin flows which spread over, and built upon, older flows; each volcano growing until it finally emerged from the sea. As time went on, lava flows from one volcano began to overlap flows from other, nearby volcanoes and eventually the peaks coalesced into a single island, the Big Island. In geologically recent times, a new volcano, Loihi, began forming about 18 miles off the southeast coast of the Big Island.
Pacific Ocean covers almost a third of our planet. In the central and south-western parts of the island are located in Oceania. Looking at the map, you can see that the farther to the east of Australia, the smaller size of the islands are, the rarer they are. And then thousands of kilometers of water surface - and her continent of South America. People inhabit the ocean as far as the most remote islands. Despite the enormity of these distances, Polynesians speak related languages and are very close to each other in physical type and culture.
If a hurricane is in the western Pacific Ocean, then it is called a typhoon. One in the Indian Ocean is called a cyclone. The danger region of a hurricane is normally in the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean. The hurricane season is the six month time period from June-November. The peak month for hurricanes is September.
The Hawaiian Islands are located on the Pacific plate. The Hawaiian volcanoes are known as intraplate volcanoes. Even though magma should not breach the oceanic crust in the middle of a plate,
This archipelago is situated under the equator, at a distance of between five and six hundred miles from the west coast of South America. It consists of five principal islands, and of several small ones...They are all volcanic: on two, craters have been seen in eruption, and on several of the other islands, streams of lava have a ...

cultures and different ways of living. Living life in American Samoa is more unique from other countries. First of all, living life in American Samoa is easier then any other countries as far as I know. In American Samoa we get food free because the Samoans mainly live off the land. There is no house or rent payment. The people of Samoa grow their own plantation, go fishing and help out others. Everyone works together and helps out one another. When family is going through times of hardships the other families will step in to help, until they can survive and stand on their own feet. The cost of living is fair enough for people to live and survive. We buy many products from the store, such as our toiletries, canned good, paper goods and our clothes. But in other ways, families have no money to purchase things from the store so they borrow the money or the item from another family. Often times the storeowners will allow a family to write an I.O.U and pay it later when they have money. This is where the word "Fa'amolemole" comes in. This word simply means, "please" but it is one of the most powerful words in the Samoan language. With the word fa'amolemole a person can obtain or acquire anything that they wish. The Samoans use this word to borrow things from their neighbors, and returning it or merely replacing it when they are finished. The second most powerful word in the Samoan language is "Fa'afetai". This word means, "thank you". Because the Samoan people are of high respect a simple please or thank you can ...
Samoa is constituted of a group of islands located in the southern Pacific Ocean only a few miles away from the American island of Hawaii and New Zealand. In total, Samoa covers about 2,934 Square kilometres of land (Palenapa, 1993). The majority of Samoans live in these islands. Millions of others, however, live in other countries such as Australia, New Zealand and the United States of America among others. Although no culture can be said to be superior to the rest, the Samoan culture is one of the most prestigious ones in the world. This research provides an in-depth analysis of the Samoan culture. The analysis covers a wide array of cultural aspects, including foods, language, religion, social systems, etc. The primary aim of this
Since the beginning of humankind, the study of geography has captured the imagination of the people. In ancient times, geography books extolled tales of distant lands and dreamed of treasures. The ancient Greeks created the word "geography" from the roots "ge" for earth and "grapho" for "to write." These people experienced many adventures and needed a way to explain and communicate the differences between various lands. Today, researchers in the field of geography still focus on people and cultures (cultural geography), and the planet earth (physical geography).
The Mediteranien Sea moderates Greeks climate cooling air in summer and warmth in winter period. Summers are generaly hot and dry, and winters are mild and rainy in costal regions. In mountain region winters are stronger.
...autiful and exciting place. The water is unlike any other body of water that I had ever laid my eyes upon. Worthy of the nickname ‘God’s swimming pool”, it has a seemingly endless horizon that reaches as far as the eye can see. The sand is so fine and powdery and it amazes me at how it can change textures with just a little bit of water. Perhaps the most amazing part of the beach is the vast array of wildlife that inhabits the area. From fish to crabs, you will never see the same creature twice. Each animal has their own distinct characteristics which make it exciting to explore and try to find more. My favorite place in the world is definitely the beach and I highly recommend visiting and seeing it with your own two eyes. It is an infinite world of expression, a paradise of color. There is no possibility of disappointment when it comes to the serenity of the ocean.
