I don´t think we need phones at school so some mean students wont bully others or spread rumors. Students could make a group chat in class to spread rumors or bully people at their school.
Imagine that you are in class taking a test, and there is a student who is on his phone cheating, causing distractions, and bullying people in the process. Would you hate that? I know I would. I feel it is disrespectful, and somebody has to put an end to it. If you go to school to learn like everybody else, then you should respect your classmates and keep your phone at home. Cell phones should not be allowed in school because they can be used to bully people, cheating, and cause distractions.
One look at an email can rob someone of 15 minutes of focus and one text message can result in someone blowing off something important, like school. Many people disagree on whether or not cell phones should be allowed, but Monique Conrod speaks out the consequences of phones in an article called Schools Divided Over Cellphones in Classrooms. Ms. Conrod announces, “One of the main reasons, for banning cell phones is that they can distract students from their work… the students admitted they... used their [electronics] for things other than school for more than half the time they were in class” (Conrod). If cellphones are allowed in class, then students will not pay attention to what
In a survey that was recently conducted, one third of teens with cellular devices admitted to storing information for reference during tests, and even texting friends about answers. The parents of these pupils believe that their child has enough integrity to prevent them from cheating, but unfortunately they are incorrect. Before we can eliminate cheating, we need to address the fact that nearly 1 in 4 students presume that the act of using a cell phone for information or answers is not cheating (Miners). Inappropriate cell phone use does not stop there. More than half of adolescents and teens have experienced cyber bullying and around an equal amount are ...
As you know students aren't aloud to use phones in school because they are too much of a distraction and kids will always be on their phones instead of listening to the teacher and actually learning at school.

Cell phones are a distraction and and they interfere with education (Lee). Rather than using them only for emergencies, students generally use them for entertainment purposes (Lee). Nowadays, cell phones can be used to email, text, call, and take pictures (Lee). Some students have trained themselves to text without looking at their phone, which makes it harder for teachers to catch them (Lee). Cell phones can also be a safety liability for schools (Lee). In the case of a bomb threat, cell phones can be used to not only call in the threat, but can also be used to detonate a bomb (Lee). In another
Cell phones are harming education and causing grades to be lower than what they could be. The other day I got out of class early in the business building, as I usually do. I was walking down the hallway, back to my dorm, as I walked across a classroom that I happened to look inside. As the professor was in the front of the classroom giving his lesson for that day, I noticed that about fifteen of twenty students had their phones out not paying one little ounce of attention to the professor. I do not know about you, but I can not read a status on Facebook and retain the information that my professor is giving me, but that is just me.
Almost 80% of teens use a cell phone on a regular basis. This is part of the reason that the cell phone is the most common place for cyber bullying to take place. It can affect every part of a person’s life. As teens can you even imagine being so scared to look at your phone that you are willing to go days without touching it. The cellphone is a big part of the day to day life, it is also part of day to day destruction. When you cant get on your phones sometimes you might not get as much work done. Sometimes you have to register for a program. When your doing and if you don't do it when your teacher is there you may not know what to do to register for it or may not know the password that your teacher does. So I think it would help a bunch if we could get on are phones during school.
To begin with, cell phones are needed in school because a student can have an emergency. As teens get older they are becoming more independent. Often the only way that their parents can be sure that their kids are safe is by calling them. Imagine if there was a fire in a school and your child was the only one to know about it. He/she could call 911 or his/her parents.Or imagine if your child was stuck in the school while it was burning. He/she can call 911, her parents, or a nearby friends. Buzzzzzzzzzz! Another cellphone is going off in the middle of class, causing her to blush and discreetly check her new text message. A virtual conversation is buzzing back and forth inside one classroom and into the classroom across the hall, having a discussion about the party that night or the lipstick color chosen at the mall. In another classroom, a student posts the answers to the English exams on her profile page, allowing all of her buddies to read and use for their time of the exam. There are multiple examples of students using their cell phones during class time to communicate their thoughts, images of their environment or dangerous crimes. In addition, the percentage of students with cellphones now soars to about 80% (Ban). This highly increases the chance for students to have a cell phones on them during school. Schools should allow cell phones in schools for children's protection and safety. Secondly, cell phones can keep you connected with your buddies. Ever since incidents such as 9/11 and Columbine, high schools have started implementing new rules regarding cellphones. Cellphones regard the attention of building managers, teachers, parents, and students. Although teachers see them as a distraction and a way to cheat, they can be quite helpful to students. School districts should permit students to use cellular devices in school for purposes of improving their education and providing themselves a sense of security.

Cell phones are small and portable yet provide so much to its user with being able to look up anything to calling your parents in case of an emergency or if you need to give them a heads up on something. With the way things are today people need to focus on incorporating cell phones into daily life and finding ways to make them more suitable in a classroom environment. Teachers are already doing this though with using apps that work with the whole class and can track data and usage of a student. Today’s cell phone is the front line technology at our fingertips. Keeping this in mind the use of cell phones have become an affair when it comes to allowing teens to use them in educational environments, such as schools. One part of society supports the use of cell phones while the other part of society disapproves the use of cell phones.
