I believe that education is a tool that prepares students for life as an adult. As a teacher, I will strive to teach students and help them discover talents that they are not aware of. I will encourage and inspire students to fulfill his/her goals.
In my classroom, I believe I would want a student – center class curriculum. Students should have a chance to express their opinion on what goes on in the classroom. I would accept their opinion and try to compromise between my point of views and the students. I will use bulletin boards to post assignments, upcoming events and examples of the content. I will display the artistic endeavors on a bulletin board so they can be proud of their accomplishments. I would conduct discussion and have students seated in groups. In my opinion, that having group work would be helpful for the students to learn from each other. I know being organized with my lessons plans will allow my class to run smooth. I want to make sure I have the materials my students need to work and create their projects. I want to make my classroom a pleasant place for students to learn. In my field, I cannot go into my classroom lecture too much because the students will lose interest. I will give the students some information and directions they need to conduct the assignment and then allow then to start. I will be available for any questions the students might have and walk around to each to mentor their progress.
I will try to keep myself informed of new information and changes in education as it pertains to my field of teaching. I will attend workshops of varies interests. Searching the Internet is a great tool for finding examples and ideas. Even showing different cultures from all over the world. For example, how we create pottery could be totally different than the America Native Indians, who are famous for their ceramics. I would also like to know what my student’s interests are and see how I can convert it into my classroom.
Communication between a teacher and a parent is very important. Both should work together because of the greater influence in the shaping in a child’s life. Douglas J. Fiore states in his book, “Creating Connection for Better Schools” that “The best teachers use varied forms of communication and regularly provided feedback to students and parents alike.

The philosophy of Tae Kwon Do is to build a more peaceful world. To accomplish this goal Tae Kwon Do begins with the foundation, the individual. The Art strives to develop the character, personality, and positive moral and ethical traits in each practitioner. It is upon this "foundation" of individuals possessing positive attitudes and characteristics that the "end goal" may be achieved.
Philosophy is defined by Webster as "Love and pursuit of wisdom by intellectual means and moral self-discipline" or "Investigation of the nature, causes, or principles of reality, knowledge, or values, based on logical reasoning rather than empirical methods." This essay is a general look at those who pursued that intellectual means, those who investigated, even those who reasoned Reason. Because volumes could be written and this is a rather quick, unworthy paper: apologizes.
With such great minds and an awesome influence that seems boundless, how can there not be references to the works of Thomas Hobbes and Immanuel Kant. The Fundamental Principles in the Metaphysics of Morality is used by the minority dissenting opinion to reiterate the concepts of the intrinsic dignity of man. While the majority uses the literary work the Leviathan to support their own opinions. Transforming and uplifting the case of Gregg v. Georgia into an arena for a debate of Hobbian and Kant philosophies.
The process of getting information to a parent, from a teacher, is an every changing and evolving dilemma. Add to that, the involvement of parents in the classroom, which becomes more and more difficult as students get higher in their education, and you end up with many gaps in the information highway. It is imperative that teachers continuously reach out to the parents in order to keep the communication lines open. In keeping parents up-to-date with the classroom expectations, and curriculum, and in reaching out to the parents to get them involved in the classroom, I feel that a teachers job is made easier, because with open communication, teachers and parents alike feel that they are working as a team to insure the students success.
Sometimes a student is successful in one area and having difficulty in another or a student has trouble using their words to communicate and becomes aggressive. At this center, the teachers have the tools to assess each child and the parents are interested in knowing the strengths and supports their child needs. The article Understanding Families, states that there should be “opportunities for families to discuss their beliefs about their children, what they want for their children, and how they support their children’s development” (Christian, 7). As conferences occur every 6 months, parents also communicate with the school and teachers via email and during drop off and pick up times. Another great example of parent communication is in the article Building Bridges from School to Home. The teacher builds relationships with parents by getting them to understand the areas that their child struggles and continues to strive in. Making sure they know that their child will master these skills when they are ready (Lawrence-Lightfoot, 2). At Staples Child Care Center, all teacher will assessments and observations about the child and a few suggestions that the child will benefit
Education is a very important aspect of our lives. It is our education that makes us who we are and determines what we become. Therefore, education is not something to be taken lightly. As a teacher, my goal will be to provide the best possible education for my students. Every student is unique. I must see students for who they are individually and respect their ideas and opinions. Each student has a different learning style. I must take this into consideration because I want to provide a constructive learning opportunity for every student. I believe that every student has the potential to learn.
I believe teachers should serve as role models and be the center of a classroom. In order to maintain that students stay on task and are all on the same page, the teacher needs to serve as a guide and direct the students. I do not believe that students learn best in a textbook based setting, but that textbooks are important when referencing material. I believe all students learn differently and look for new ideas or ways to teach lessons and concepts, so that my students can learn as effectively as possible. I also believe that a teacher teaches much more than the subject. It is very important for students in my classroom to something other than the subject that I teach. I want them to learn life skills that will help them in more areas and aspects of their life other than education. I believe my students should strive for hard work, dedication, and integrity, and go beyond learning just the content of a
Each person needs to learn to respect, have integrity and be unique in their own way. One will learn that through struggle and a lot of effort to overcome different situations. I think that like me the world needs a balance where some need to be more than others, for example some people need to be kinder in contrast to cruelty to learn from each other to either be a better person or stay the same. This world needs people who are open to accept changes to change themselves and how they live, because for this world to be a more healthy and happy place we need to start changes within our own.
What are the most significant aspects about which a teacher should communicate with a parent, and how
Research shows that children do better in school when parents talk often with teachers and become involved. Kids whose parents interact with teachers usually get higher grades and test scores, develop positive attitudes about school, and are better behaved. Parents and teachers need to communicate on a regular basis, not just at parent/teacher conferences. But sometimes, a parent doesn’t know just how to go about getting involved or how to make that positive connection with the teacher and/or school.
Education is very important for a person to succeed in life. The purpose of education is to prepare a student for life and to discover themselves. As a teacher, I hope to help students not only learn what is required but I hope to make them want to discover more on their own. I want them to want to learn. As for the students, I only expect them to put forth their best efforts and try. Not everyone likes everything and I would not expect someone to.
As an educator, I believe that all learning must start with each individual person and what they bring with them to the learning environment. I value life-long learning and believe that each of us holds valuable information and will make contributions that will benefit all learners and our classrooms. I believe that all students must have instilled in them a sense of competence as it is related to their experiences and without feeling competence in their own experience, they have nothing to build on or to grow from. I hold the foundational belief, that as an educator, it is my role to work to promote a positive learning environment where diverse sets of learners can thrive. I feel that I need to work to help learners feel excitement and enthusiasm about the learning that is taking place as well as to provide a strong foundation for life-long learning which includes continued growth and sharing with others.
As we reminisce and reflect back either on our childhood or academic career, we tend to have that one teacher who was memorable to us in some way - for their sense of humor, their stellar personality, or perhaps having that charisma and charm no other teacher had to make a difficult subject and it 's concepts fun to learn. While knowledge is power, I firmly believe that it is rather the exchange and distribution of knowledge that is power. When one can educate the masses there is no doubt that together we can accomplish great things. Becoming a teacher would mean the opportunity to be able to witness the shaping and molding of the minds of the future generations and the satisfaction knowing that you have helped your students set themselves onto the right path and provide guidance towards the creation of a better tomorrow. Choosing to become a teacher will allow me not only to educate my students, but also educate myself to be a better teacher throughout my career. I believe it is a function of human nature to want to change the world for the better. In adulthood, I have learned that the improvement of the welfare of the world must begin with
The purpose of education is to teach the basics of knowledge and to challenge each individual to learn. The realization that I will have the power to make a difference in a child’s life is sometimes overwhelming. This remarkable fact gives me a stronger purpose – to be a positive role model for my students. Being an effective teacher is truly an awesome responsibility.
