My decision to pursue a career in pharmacy began with the job shadowing of pharmacists and family members involved in the pharmaceutical industry. Having witness their professional commitment, persistence, and willingness to work with the general public made me believe I would be an excellent fit for pharmacy school. As a dedicated student, I continuously abide by the standards of academic excellence, research, and service in order to succeed. I am seeking a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree program to help advance my knowledge in the evolution of contemporary medicine to improve the quality of human existence through effective and innovative services. To be a good pharmacist, I believe in being a progressivism, in which, I am willing to learn about new research and methods to benefit the health of patients.
Embarking on my journey in order to continue my career interest in pharmacy has been a rather extensive one. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to complete numerous biology, chemistry, and math courses to fully help me advance to higher learning upon graduation. In my advanced microbiology course, I learned about specific topics that fascinated me: microbial diseases and antimicrobial drugs. Learning about how different microbial diseases

I had the honor of presenting my research at the 2016-2017 Women in STEM Experience (WiSE) Symposium held at the University of Alabama. This accomplishment opened many more opportunities, in which, I held plenty of research presentations at other symposiums and science-related events. My research was on the basis of learning how the use of a pharmaceutical vitamin supplement had certain effects on an organisms’ body. *This project sparked my knowledge, in which, I wanted to make the same connection with people and learn how pharmaceutical drugs affected their everyday
• Organize inventory and alert pharmacists to any shortages of medications or supplies • Accept payment for prescriptions and process insurance claims • Enter customer or patient information, including any prescriptions taken, into a computer system • Answer phone calls from customers • Arrange for customers to speak with pharmacists if customers have questions about medications or health matters Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of pharmacists, who must review prescriptions before they are given to patients. In most states, technicians can compound or mix medications and call physicians for prescription refill authorizations. Pharmacy technicians working in hospitals and other medical facilities prepare a greater variety of medications, such as intravenous medications.
This relates strongly with my long term professional goals. In the long run, I really wish to help as many people as I can by advancing pharmacy. It is a dream to be able to go to a developing country or be part of an organization such as the World Health Organization and spread the knowledge of pharmacy and bring h...
Born and raised by parents working in the medical field, I have always had the urge to follow up on on a health related career. Despite never being pressured into choosing scientific subjects as my academic studies, I deeply admired what a long way science has come and longed to give my contribution to this fascinating world. I am presently studying for my A-levels at St.Aloysius Sixth form in Malta, a college for high achievers.
Once upon a time, it seems, physicians were wise and good, and medicine was an art. That's the feeling I get reading from the Chahar Maqala, tales from a time when doctors diagnosed lovesick princes from a urine sample, a pulse, and a review of local geography.
Since my early schooling days, science and mathematics have always fascinated me given that all components of the world are explained on the basis of these disciplines. In this regard, Pharmacy which is based on Chemistry and Mathematics has interested me a great deal as it has direct impacts on our daily lives. The more I have become familiar with the chemistry and mathematics knowledge involved in pharmacy, the more I have appreciated its significance in improving the lives of people in the community. Out of the many careers that one would opt to pursue, Pharmacy has stood out as the career that will enable me serve the society more directly and have a real impact in the quality of peoples’ lives by touching their health. In addition, I love a career that is challenging and one that I will be involved in even in old age. In this case, Pharmacy offers me this opportunity. My interest in Pharmacy has also developed from my personal health experiences and becoming aware of its expansiveness. Every time I have had to take medicine to cure an illness, I have become more interested to know how drugs are made and how the drug components work in the human body to alleviate pain and restore health. I desire to pursue a career in Pharmacy so as to gain practical experience in these aspects of research.
I am writing to express my interest in applying for the PGY-1 Veterinary Clinical Pharmacy Practice residency at Purdue University. After researching your curriculum, I understand that your program’s mission is to provide pharmacists with the knowledge of regulatory aspects of drug use in animals, instill a strong sense of ethical responsibility in decision making regarding veterinary drug use, as well as the skills necessary for compounding preparations for animal patients, and to provide experience in research and publications. These skills create a more competent and efficient pharmacy leader. Throughout my training at Texas Tech University, I balanced schoolwork and employment as a pharmacy intern at a retail chain pharmacy. While attending
Filling a Prescription In a Retail Environment By a Pharmacy Technician Most of the population requires some sort of medication to keep themselves healthy. Not everyone knows the full process of filling a prescription. This will explain in detail the step by step procedure in filling a prescription inside a pharmacy work area. Please state briefly why you wish to undertake the medical programme. Please include any professional and personal experiences, and other personal attributes that you feel are relevant. (2500 characters) From a young age, I have witnessed many family members suffering through a range of illnesses. Through visiting hospitals, both in New Zealand and Korea, I saw the extent to which doctors work and what skills they need to have in order to help people both physically and mentally. Recently, I lost my grandmother to cancer; through the fluctuations of good and bad news, I could only hope and pray that she would get better.
I have spent most of my life preparing for my intended major, Biochemistry. I plan to go to medical school after completing my degree. I have always been intensely curious about the greatest natural phenomenon of all, the human body. When I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in high school, this interest grew. Since I was living in Qatar at the time, I relocated to Belgium in order to have my operation performed by Europe's foremost pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Christian Raftopolous.
I am interested in applying for the position of Pre-Medicine teacher. I have been dedicated to the subject of medicine since a close friend of mine admitted that she felt that she would have been in a better condition had she had a female doctor treating her rather than a male. Soon after this, she passed away, leaving me with the want to study medicine. I firmly believe that I am qualified for this job, and that you will come to find this to be true as well. I possess all of the skills and qualities that are found in an excellent teacher, and am looking forward to being able to apply them at this wonderful establishment.
A particular area of chemistry I am interested in is the involvement of carbon nanotubes in the detection of cancer, as designed by Jack Andraka. It amazes me how something so small can chemically, and physically, make such a huge difference in the world. Not only do I read articles in this field of chemistry, I also attend lectures put together by a local university (based on multiple areas of chemistry) that are aimed at sixth form and college students who wish to study the chemical sciences.
While my peers turned away from the screen in disgust, I opened my eyes wider. As the doctor’s fingers blanched the patient’s skin, an explosion, of what bared a striking resemblance to yellow-tinted ricotta cheese, erupted out of a small opening. I would like to thank my enthusiastic high school Biology teacher for this experience. As a result, my love for science flourished. Through my classwork and independent research, I was introduced to the study of life on its many scales and was intensely interested in the daily discoveries within the field of science.

My decision to enter medical school was a result of several factors added together. Understanding the complexity of the human body and to cure the disease state, using appropriate medical concepts has always fascinated me. My admiration for doctors, together with realization of the value of life after the death of my beloved grandfather intensified my passion to study medicine. My passion was not an erratic one based on hearsay, but rather based on good comprehension about the profession and an earnest experience. Above all, I have always excelled in my every academic venture and the career in medicine had always been my first choice.
A career as a clinical pharmacist seems to be the goal was working up to my entire life, even before I knew what it was. As a child I found myself fascinated by what made people sick and how to make them feel better. This interest only continued to grow through my education, culminating in my decision to attend pharmacy school upon reaching adulthood.
