Pharmacology is the study of drugs. Pharmacologists, also called pharmacists, have many responsibilities and go through more than a few years of college to obtain this career. The average yearly salary of a pharmacist guarantees that they won't have a problem paying back their student loans.Also, many universities in the U.S. offer pharmacology as a major.Future pharmacists have a long 6 to 7 year journey to being pharmacologists. Universities across the country offer pharmacology programs, but the top six are located in Texas, Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan, California, North Carolina. Some of the job options in pharmacology include Analytical Chemist, Bio Chemical Scientist, Clinical Research Associate, a Healthcare Scientist in clinical biochemistry, or immunology, Pharmacologist, and a Research chemist in life sciences or medical. Pharmacology has numerous types of employers, but the typical employers are manufacturing, IT, scientific writing, finance, patenting, and sales marketing. Pharmacologists are very important to our way of lives, without then people wouldn't get the proper medications needed. Pharmacologists provide people with important tips on how to live a healthy lifestyle. The average starting salary of any one in the medical field is $80,000, but for a pharmacologist specifically, the starting amount ids $86,790 and the maximum salary is $154,040. However, the median annual wages vary depending on the job. Pharmacists in Department Stores earn a median pay of $125,500 while Grocery Store pharmacists earn $121,630.
