Working Thesis: Almost forty percent of American parents refuse to vaccinate their children due to a variety of unfounded fears, like having an autistic child. Some parents fear that their child or children may have health complications. It should be mandatory, with exception, for all children of the U.S. who wish to attend school to receive required vaccinations, to fight off infectiously diseases. Yet widespread fear of vaccines on the part of parents persists. In this book, “Autism's False Prophets” by “Paul A. Offit, a national expert on vaccines, challenges the modern-day false prophets who have misled the public and exposes the opportunism of the lawyers, journalists, celebrities, and politicians who support them.” Offit talks about how soothsayers mislead people by giving false information about children becoming autistic. Research shows that thimerosal does not cause Autism Spectrum Disorder. There is no link that has been found between thimerosal that contains vaccines and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
