Addressing the Concussion Crisis in NFL

Everyone loves watching football on Sunday after church. We get to sit down with our family and friends and root for our favorite team to win. Depending on the outcome of your team, that’s when you know if your Sunday is good or bad. But the thing we all hate to see on Sunday is when a paper gets injured. Especially when it is a concussion.
Concussions are the most serious injury in the NFL. Yes, other injuries such as an ACL tear or a rupture Achilles tendon are painful, but you can recover from these. That is often not the case for concussions, if you have a concussion from playing football, you are most likely to get many more after that. Also, concussions will also affect your long-term health after football. So, you are planning on starting a family, having a concussion doesn’t grantee you tomorrow because you could easily have a trauma.
My proposition is that the NFL needs to make a better effort limited the number of concussions they have each year. There were …show more content…

We see many players that always aim at the heads of other players when going for a tackle and that is very dangerous and unnecessary. Improve the concussion policy in the NFL. I witnessed a game where I was watching the Houston Texan’s quarterback Tom Savage took a direct hit to the head and started spazzing out while lying on the ground in game. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever seen. But the scarier thing is that the coaching staff allowed him to stay in the game after the next play! That is just absurd, and something needs to be done with the current policy because the NFL could be sued for a lot of money if this continues. Lastly, they should improve the helmets of the players. They NFL should invest money in new ways to make the helmets with softer inside and more absorbents of blows to the head. This could make the game safer and more fun for the players and fans watching at
