Teens need 9 ½ hours of sleep

Sleep can decrease someone’s chance of getting depression. Sleep lets you recharge. It also makes you happier. All a teen has to do is 9 ½ hours of sleep.
First of all, if teens get 9 ½ they will have enough time to recharge. When someone sleeps it helps your brain, muscles, lungs, and heart. While sleeping, a chemical called “Cerebral Spinal fluid is pumped more quickly while you sleep… So you wake up with quite literally a clean \slate”(Sleep.org). It also help the muscles by sending growth hormones to help repair and build up them. Also, it helps with the heart and lung by giving them a slow, steady pace to work at, and 9 ½ hours is the perfect time to do so.
