Dear “President”, Donald Trump. I’m writing this letter to tell you that I’m infuriated with the fact that you’re my president. I don’t exactly like Hilary either, but the fact that you’re the president shocks me. You’ve done many things that made me and many others believe you would be a terrible president. But, some people believed otherwise. Now that you’re president, we’ve seen what you’re capable of. But, believe me when I say most of them aren’t good. It was easy to write about all the senseless things you’ve done since there are so many. Number one, The Muslim Ban, number two, your tweets, and number three, you’re sexist. First, The Muslim Ban. Yes, it’s not called, “The Muslim Ban”, but it is one. This order covered everyone with a visa who was from those specific countries — including permanent legal residents or “green card” holders who already had permission to be in the U.S., meaning if they left and tried to come back, they would be prohibited. People from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya and Somalia are being separated from their families because of this. But, I doubt you care. …show more content…
Second, your tweets are highly unprofessional and rude.
For example; “Obama is, without question, the WORST EVER president. I predict he will now do something really bad and totally stupid to show manhood!”, “If Obama resigns from office NOW, thereby doing a great service to the country—I will give him free lifetime golf at any one of my courses!”, “Can you believe that, with all of the problems and difficulties facing the U.S., President Obama spent the day playing golf. Worse than Carter”. That last two tweets honestly make no sense. First, you want him to stop playing golf, and now you want him to play more golf. The sad part is that since you’ve been president you’ve visited golf courses several times during your first month in office after criticizing Obama for
golfing. Third, you’re a sexist. You’ve said many disgusting things towards women, for example; “You wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful.”. You’ve also said, “I’ve said, if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” This comment I find absolutely disgusting. Another thing he said was, ““A person who is very flat-chested is very hard to be a 10,” You’ve criticized many people, especially women. The fact that anybody voted for you is extremely shocking. Finally, there are many reasons why you’re a bad president. The Muslim Ban, your tweets, and you’re sexist. Half of America understood these reasons. I hope you understand them too. I truly hope you read this letter and immediately after, take my advice and resign from office. Hopefully you change your ways.
A week after, Congress passed a law allowing the president to use "all necessary and appropriate for us… Against persons associated with the attack”. This may sound familiar to the executive order 9066 during 1944. The President ordered the Armed Forces to Afghanistan to subdue al Qaeda and quell the supporting Taliban regime. This made every fear certain races and certain people. Muslims were targeted and feared for being a terrorist just like how the Japanese were feared to be spying on the United States but they were also in fear. Just like the Japanese Americans in 1944, people like Yaser Hamdi are being persecuted for being a certain
The use of persuasive literary devices and tactics guarantee a strong and powerful address. However, Trump’s address, could leave Americans feeling unsettled as he manipulates a traditional address. He synthesizes an addresses that will surely be remembered for its lack of sophistication, abandoned formality, and aggressive tone. The ramifications of breaking tradition results in Trump’s failure to prompt
Creon, you must allow me to bury my brother, Polyneices. I am obligated to bury him as it is my responsibility as his sister. Additionally, refusing a person a proper burial is immoral and against the will of the gods and of your people. Polyneices should be given a proper funeral as familial and social obligations permit his burial and because it will win you the respects of the gods and your people.
Hillary Rodham Clinton is a well-recognized woman in the United States. Her great contribution as secretary of State impact people’s lives. One of many remarkable speeches Hillary gave was the “The women rights speech”, in the 4th World Conference on Women Plenary Session where she uses strong words and emotions to appeal the audience. Even though the speech talks about women rights, she wants everyone, including men and children to listen and take action. Her use of ethos, logos and pathos throughout the speech made the audience believe in her words.
All in all, Hilary Clinton really makes it clear that women’s rights are also human rights as well, that we can no longer abuse our mothers, sisters, and daughters anymore, that what women go through nowadays is inhumane and needs to come to an end; only then, can we live in peace. She makes these points using the three main rhetorical devices, ethos, pathos, and logos, as well as her clever use of diction, repetition and
Discrimination Imagine being discriminated against anyplace you went, with glares from many and you haven’t done anything to receive those judgments. Muslim Americans in the U.S. have to deal with that discrimination every day post the events that happened on 9/11. Some take drastic measures, such as changing their birth name, in hopes that they can avoid being judged by others. Muslim teenager Alisha, told her story that while visiting Six Flags with her family, an American man yelled at her father with the racial comment, “F**k you Osama!” She would also get asked offensive questions, like if she hated Jews too.
President Trump put a temporary ban on visitors and immigrants from seven muslim-majority countries. It was signed late last friday, and it blocked immigrants from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen for 90 days and it suspends the U.S. refugee program for 120 days.
Saying it needed to be done and that this will protect the citizens currently in our country today. The Democratic side did not agree with it at all. “The Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez saying "Trump's obsession with religious discrimination is disgusting, un-American, and outright dangerous" (Harrington, 2017). This was much expected from many that the Democratic side would not agree with this. The Democratic side is often filled with most of the minorities of the country and with that being said they do not agree with this ban one bit. They all think Trump is in this to hurt them rather than make the country a better place for everyone. That is not the case, when Trump ran for office he demanded a change to take place, people (mainly Republicans) wanted change and now they will get

Firstly, I have a feet messages to read out.(read telegrams etc.) As Bill Clinton said to each of his girlfriends, I wont keep you long.
To impel, Trump’s travel ban is flat out illegal. This is in accordance with The Immigration Act of 1965 which was summarized by The New York Times as follows “The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 banned all discrimination against immigrants on the basis
In the 2016 presidential debate, the front-runner and favorite to win the Democratic nomination, Hillary Clinton, is looking to be the first woman to ever be elected president of the United States. What most people don’t know, or don’t hear, is that she has violated multiple federal laws. For example, it turned out that during her term for U.S. Secretary of State, Clinton had been using a personal email for both work and personal messages. She isn’t the only politician to have a personal email. Tom Blanton, who is director of the National Security Archive at George Washington University was being asked about Hillary Clinton’s emailgate scandal and he had this to say about it, “Blanton
Immigration has always been a hot topic in America. There are many pros and cons, which makes it a delicate issue when it comes to debates. In an attempt to reform immigration, President Obama has issued an executive order that will overhaul the nation’s immigration system as we know it. The president’s changes will affect nearly 11 million undocumented immigrants who are currently residing in America. Focusing on 4 main changes, Obamas’ plan focuses on many aspects from enhancing border security to developing new processes in which workers can enter the country.
I have written you to discuss our national budget and the inherent problems in our fiscal policy. Although I am not the best informed on this subject I think my opinions and ideas are relevant. I have several ideas for both raising more capital and lowering government expenditure. I believe action must be taken on both fronts to curb our national debt before it adversely affects our economy.
Thank you again for your generous offer for my trip to Cleveland a couple of weeks ago. Not only did the money I received pay for my dad and I, but we also had enough extra money to pay for another person to go!
