Health care is the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments in human beings. Health care is an important piece of our life. It keeps people safe and healthy. It gives confidence to people whose work is dangerous. No matter what type of status you have, your health will give you the best protection for you. You can’t do anything with a sick or unhealthy body. A lot of people don’t realize that until their health turns to a situation that no treatment can heal them. Health care should be mandatory for all since it improves overall health, is less costly and will prevent future health issues in society.

When you get sick and you are poor, it doesn’t mean you don’t have the rights to receive medical treatment for your health. It’s society’s responsibility to let everybody have a healthy and energetic body. No matter how wealthy or poor you are, it’s not the reason to let you not have a healthy body. It doesn’t look good for us. Why people can’t have a healthy health? Is it just too hard to let everybody have good health? Or is it just a dream to have good health? None of them are true. We as human being had faced many different diseases through our past. We didn’t become extinct at all. According to (Hospital Workers Authorize Strike to Protect Patient Care at Valley Health System). They said they would have provided $4.3 million in concessions to help the struggling hospital while protecting the health of the community. That’s a really good start for people who don’t have enough money to go to the hospital, and it gains people’s confidence about going to a …show more content…
Take it as you born and no worry about your health cost. According to (The Real Reason American Health Care Is so Expensive). It says, people often come and get health care when they are unconscious, in an ambulance, when you are scared, when it’s for your spouse or your child. It’s a time when you have the least bargaining power. If it’s free nothing will happen like this. People often want to save their money and save it for something else that’s more important for them. Now it becomes a burden for them. Why does that happen to us? We didn’t have free and mandatory health care. According to (5 Of the Toughest Health Care Interview Questions-and How to Answer Them). It says “Collaborative and connectivity apps will help providers build a cohesive team in patient care.” Every part of the health care is important. To give a patient a best treatment is the goal of the health care. Nothing can stop a person to receive the best treatment he can
Providing health care for all workers and their families is a very good way to improve the benefit that workers receive for the worst forms of work to render workers less vulnerable, and to express social and communal respect for them.
As part of the Affordable Care Act, beginning this year Medicaid will expand eligibility to include all uninsured individuals under the age of 65 whose incomes fall at or below 138 percent of the Federal Poverty Level, or about $32,500 for a family of four. However, the 2012 Supreme Court ruling that upheld the law also allowed states more flexibility concerning what parts of the ACA they can implement and said that those same states would not lose federal funding for their existing programs. This result would leave the decision to opt out of the law's provision into the hands of state legislators. While twenty-six states have chosen to expand healthcare coverage, twenty-one states have not and four have yet to make a decision. The state of Florida is among those not seeking to expand coverage and that decision alone could cost Florida millions of dollars a year in tax penalties. As conservative and liberal state lawmakers square off into a maelstrom of debate over whether Medicaid should cover more people, thousands of uninsured Floridians will be caught in the crossfire.
It is essential for the United States government to provide its entire citizen with a free health care. This system ensures that everyone has an access to medical services regardless to his or her social status. It is an important way of preserving life as free health care plan ensures free treatment to the entire citizen. In addition, it can play a big role of ensuring that there is an improved access to health services. Ensuring that all American citizens have an access to the right health care will in turn decrease health care costs. It can also help to stop medical bankruptcies in the entire nation. Lastly, it is one way of reducing poverty as it will lower the debt of the US which would then increase employment.
The healthcare reform debate has been politicized in the United States for many years where there have been deliberate efforts by various stakeholders to ensure that they push for the reforms that are in line with the cost-benefit aspects that they have already envisioned. In this paper, I will attempt to prove that the reforms that have been witnessed in the healthcare in the recent years have not been effective and helpful to the society as a whole. When President Obama came into office, he promised to oversee great reforms in the healthcare which is his government he face much priority in the social policy aspects. The congress managed to pass the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
Our nation’s current health in America is poor we have an epidemic of obesity, “More than one-third (34.9% or 78.6 million) of U.S. adults are obese.” (CDC, 2015) People are demanding better drugs, procedures, and technology which all cost money to research. In this day and age people want things to be done as fast as they can and want it when they want it. Healthcare is being misused, we use a method called defensive care to reduce chances other problems arise but cost more for tests that are not necessary. Now that every person is required to have healthcare it affects people in the middle class that make enough to sustain their families but not much more and they are now required to have healthcare make living life a struggle for them. Cost to manage a hospital are raising paying their workers more expensive technology, one thing that can really affect the cost of healthcare is, “Hospitals assume those costs as part of their legal duties to provide "charity care." (kavilanz, 2012) Hospitals are required to help people in need no matter what. The US needs to focus on preventative healthcare over healthcare. People live longer today but are living unhealthy, they eat food that is not good for them they smoke and live a life that is harmful to their health. Our nation need to be better educated about health and a healthier
The Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare, is a new health policy created by the American federal government. Its purpose is to make healthcare more affordable and friendly for the people. Unfortunately in some way that does not prove to be the case. It is becoming apparent that Obama may have made some misleading statements to help get the ACA put into action. The ACA is sprinkled with many flaws that call for a reform such as people’s current plans being terminated, high costs, and at minimum some people’s hours being cut by their employers.
Healthcare is a complicated thing, but there are lots of things that need to be addressed. There is controversy about whether healthcare is a right, responsibility, or a privilege. This essay is going to explain examples of each. The word right can be defined simply as “something to which one has a just claim” (merriam-webster.com). According to the online legal dictionary, the word privilege is defined as “a special benefit, exemption from a duty, or immunity from penalty, given to a particular person, a group or a class of people”. Google dictionary describes responsibility as “The state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something”, or “The state or fact of having a duty to deal with something.”
In the United States of America, there are millions of individuals that live with chronic medical problems. In which these conditions require some sort of medical attention at least once a month for revaluation, and possible treatment. Thankfully, for the majority of those individuals with their health insurance covers those costs that essentially would cripple their bank accounts. On the contrary, there are millions of people living in the United States, who are uninsured. Even with the implementation of the Affordable Care Act or as it is known by the public Obama Care, there are still individuals who cannot afford the basic needs of healthcare. Health care should not be looked at as a privilege but a right for everyone regardless of their
Have you ever wondered how some athletes have gotten so good at a certain sport? Have you ever thought about what they did in order for them to get this good? For some the answer is simple; workout and train. But for others the answer is different; the use of performance enhancing drugs such as steroids. There are some people that argue that steroids should be legalized and allowed in professional sports. Other people argue that steroids should not be allowed. Today I am going to state my opinion and justify my reason. Steroids should not be allowed in professional sports because it can be very dangerous to the athlete’s health, it is a way to gain and un-fair advantage and it can be dangerous in both social and physical aspects.
In the United States of America, people view health care as a product to be bought and sold. Therefore, anyone who could not avail the health care would not have any coverage. Without any form of health care, someone could not achieve their outstanding potential when sick. United States has spent so much money in trying to make this country as one of the best in the world. There is economic growth if the health of the citizenry is safeguarded. In this nation that is known for its wealth, it is very ironic to find people without proper insurance due to high cost and therefore are denied health care (Bergen, Fultz, Kessie, & Osburn, 2015). Society is denying them the right to live. Butts & Rich (2005) stated that in order to achieve social
The United States of America is supposed to be the greatest nation on earth. We are supposed to celebrate freedom and praise equality. We are all supposed to have the opportunity to live a nice, long, wonderful life. There are quite a few problems that make the above difficult, to say the least.
Health insurance should be mandatory to all individuals because, at some point, every individual will need medical attention. It covers the unpredictable moments in life. Opponents argue that, many people are in good health, and they will not need health care at some point in their life. No one expects to get sick, but medical attention is needed at some point, because, no one knows when an accident may happen, or when a family member will get seriously sick. Therefore, when this time comes, it will be very easy ...
Universal health care is medical insurance provided to all the residents of a country by their government. Out of all the major industrial countries, The United States is the only country without a universal health care system. In 2010, President Barack Obama signed a health care reform law making it illegal to be uninsured in America, which is a major step towards it. Universal Health Care should be mandatory in America because it gives everyone an opportunity to receive more equal care, the overall health of the population would increase and current insurance plans are unaffordable for many Americans.

The human right to health means that everyone has the right to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, which includes access to all medical services, sanitation, adequate food, healthy working conditions, and a clean environment. (“What is the Human Right to Health and Health Care”, n.d.). Health should be a human right and should have access to all people. It will also show that all human beings are treated equally. Many people ask this question is Health a human right? Should people have given access to human right? I believe that health should be a human right because it provides quality of life, encourage equity, provide prevention and awareness and eliminate discrimination among people.
