Prompt 1 (If you want the experience of having complete responsibility for another human being, and to learn how to love and bond in the deepest way, then you should have children. I would not have missed the experience for the world. (pg. 92) Do you plan on having children some day? If yes, what do you look forward to? What worries you? Will you parent them like you were parented? What will you do the same? Differently? If you are not planning on having children, why not?) I definitely plan on having children someday. I look forward to being able to bring a child up in this world, to teach them that they can do anything they set their mind to. I look forward to seeing them grow up to be young adults like I am now, and watching how they develop …show more content…
I am looking forward to hearing them call me mom and completely love me no matter what. I want to be able to show them that they are cared for and loved beyond their imagination and expectations. I hope that they know how much I will love them and how I wish for them to live life in the best way possible. I am worried about the cost of parenting and getting so caught up in work and belong busy that my children might be sacrificed or vice versa. I worry about having to leave my child when I can’t be with them. I know I’ll worry about my child having a rare disease or getting hurt at any time. I worry that they could be taken from me in any way at any time, because if I loose them I will lose part of my heart. I know that I will do some of the same things that my parents do, but I also hope to do even more. I plan on showing my children respect like my parents do, and pushing them to do their very best, while being for them if they fail. I want them, …show more content…
However, I think that now our school is very skill based. Most harder classes were determined by tests that had to be taken and passed, and with the academy system now, we are always preparing for the future. While this is beneficial, sometimes I think we do get caught up in learning the skills and “mechanics” of schooling instead of personal development. Now, we also are very artistically and athletically driven. I believe that within music, art, extracurriculars and sports, we learn more about ourselves than in the classroom. Since our school encourages these, we can get personal development through them. This helps to balance out the skill driven schoolwork and classes. I think that in my education there has been a good balance, because not only am I learning the skills that I will need to succeed in life. I am also developing as a person in the ways I learn and think. I think this is important, having personal development, because no matter what you know, you still need to know how to learn in a way that works for you and be able to adapt and know all that life throws at
Overall, I am glad that I had the opportunities growing up to attend different types of schools. They shaped me into the person that I am today and helped to make me successful, along with the fact that I am very competitive, take pride in what I do and take the time to learn how to work with others. I believe these traits have gotten me as far as I am
Many individuals are taking the process of process of parental licensing into their own hands, despite their contributions being made up in mind only, however, it is thought that counts. One respective person believes that a restriction on having children should begin at the earliest stage of one’s life: birth. As soon as a child is born, doctors should “go in and turn off their spickets” (McRedmond). In the later stages of life, this would prevent several cases of teen pregnancies, seeing as though it would be an impossibility for women to get pregnant. Then, when a women eventually becomes ready enough to think about having children, they should go through a testing process, perhaps similar to Sherman’s ideas of interviews, writing, and demonstrations of capability. If they pass, they “get their spickets turned
We as parents have become older, and we lived our lives. It is now our Children’s turn to live theirs and hope, as parents, we did most of what we had to do as God had wished us.
The repetitive structure of a school day, in a way, provides me with a sense of security, an awareness of what to expect, but it can be monotonous and lack excitement. When you consider how much time students spend in school it is clear that the experience shapes their lives and can have a lasting effect. It is for this reason that it is crucial to have the correct balance of conformity and individuality for the benefit of both civilization and individuals.
...I hope I can be half the parent they are when I have children of my own. I really don't relate to the other two methods probably because I was not raised in those ways. Everyone has there own reasoning and I respect that. Parenting is a big deal. If one were not to be given any guidance or love they would be lost in this world.
The right to choose, right to pursue and right of speech has been a natural right our founding fathers have strived to preserve since the day it was violated. Though, the right they fought to preserve only benefited if thou were a white male, we slowly have come to include the rest of our population regardless of sex or of racial orientation. Women, in particular, have come a long way since their debut in World War II and continue to dismantle the misogynistic traditions we have deeply ingrained into our society. However, women are facing another obstacle: the right to abort an unwanted child. The controversial topic of abortion has been touched upon by politicians, religious groups and the women themselves and although it has been marked
Imagine this, you have just found out you are pregnant and you’re far from ready to have a kid. You could be a teen, a victim of rape, a one night stand, it could be a multitude of reasons. You think to yourself, should I terminate this pregnancy to make my life easier? This is a question many women have with themselves or even a friend or family member. Abortion has been around for centuries, it even dates back to the BC era, but just recently during the 19th century abortion became a huge social and moral issue.
For most people, becoming a parent is one of the greatest moments in their lives. I never understood the true meaning of love until I became a father. Little did I know; I would also learn the tragedy of loss.
Abortion has been one of the biggest controversies of all time. According to the Oxford dictionary, the term abortion can be defined as, the deliberate termination of human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy. There are two different types of abortion; a spontaneous abortion, which is also known as a miscarriage, and an induced abortion, where the embryo or fetus is purposely removed from the women’s body. The topic of induced abortion has been widely debated for hundreds of years. The issue of abortion was argued way back in the time of the ancient Hebrews. Today many people consider abortion to be murder, but shouldn’t the soon-to-be mother 's right to make such a personal and heartbreaking choice be
Abortion has been a controversial topic in the U.S ever since it became legal in 1973 after the Roe v. Wade case. Abortion is defined as the, “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Pro-life supporters believe that abortion is unethical and argue that it is the mother’s responsibility to own up to her actions. They also argue that there is always the option of adoption, and that abortion could be very dangerous. I am pro-life and believe that the government doesn’t have the right to decide what a woman can or can’t do with her body.
I never dreamed of having a child at such a young are. In fact, in high school I was the typical student. I maintained good grades, stayed on the honor roll, participated in extracurricular activities, and even volunteered at local hospitals. Outside of school my friends I were always doing something after the football games or just hanging on Saturday nights, being typical teens. Soon all of that would come to an end. Little did I know for the next few months to come, I would be home to what could be our future president or the person that would make history for finding the cure for cancer. The scariest thing is, I would be forever responsible for a new life, as if trying to be responsible for my own was not enough.
Women should have the right to decide whether or not they would like to have an abortion. The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines abortion as; “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.” The idea of a woman’s right to have an abortion being taken away is merely incomprehensible.
Is it fair to have to take a course and pass a test to become a parent?
I’ve always adored young children and although that is far into my future, I’d love to be such an important role in someone’s life like a mother is. I think my reason for this is my own mother, all she ever desired when she got older was to become a mother. Maybe if go down this path I might find my calling, like she did. While I pursue this, I plan on keeping myself, and this family I will one day have, firm in our faith. I hope that one day if this were to come true, I could bring my future children to the same church and school that I was raised in, and teach them to adore it. To me, this would be a successful life; after all what’s purpose of life without God and furthering the faith of others? If I lead this life, I will be extremely content and happy; not only that but I’ll be
As time goes on, teen pregnancy is becoming more and more common throughout the world. So many people frown upon this whole idea. Such people act as if the teenage parents’ world is going to come to an end. Although these kids’ life is going to be making a big turn, there are many of them who are mature enough to take on the responsibilities of a baby.
