Final Essay Sports are a major part of every student's life. Many of these kids, make a way to actually make playing a sport their job. Now more than ever, more and more young athletes are looking for jobs that include their favorite pastime, playing sports. Playing on a sport’s team have positive and negative elements, but it can also teach them valuable life lessons. Even though many disagree, playing on a sport’s team could benefit a child’s well- being, by making new friends, exercising, and being active in school. First off, when you enter your child in a new team, they usually meet new friends. At first, barely anyone knows each other, so new friendships could be born. First off, if you are on a team, you would be super busy. Usually there is practice every night of the week, and since most of the player sare students, they have barely any time to complete their assignments. On top of that, is the weekly, tow hour long game once a week. Overall, they would be really busy with homework, practices, and games. Most importantly, the player’s grade might drop, due to playing a sport. With all the scheduled events, the players would barely have enough time to finish their homework. All students know that once you miss one or two assignments, your grade most likely dropped down a letter. Finally, playing on a sports team could be dangerous, by the possible risk of getting an injury. If you have a broken foot, you are barely any help with the team, so they make you sit out and watch. Many people still think that sports cause “too many injuries”, or coaches “are not fair enough”, but adolescents will experience these things all throughout their lives because injury can happen anywhere and they will not always be the best at what they are doing. Sports are beneficial to the youth because they can teach children and teens important life skills, help them maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle, all while improving their mental health.
Though this argument may seem accurate, it does not fully explain some of the major health risks and what the parents and coaches are doing to prevent as many injuries as possible. In conclusion, young athletes should play sports because, youth sports can be a learning experience or it can be a health risk to the athletes. The three main points are how sports keep you healthy, how they build character, and the values that they will learn from sports and how they will use them in the future. Even though there are many health risks involved, the coaches and parents are doing the best they can to prevent their child from getting hurt.
First of all high school sports are not beneficial because it puts too much stress on the kids because they want to make their parents happy and want to keep their grades up or if they don’t they could get cut from the team . So, considering that high school sports do give kids an opportunity to expand socially, keep them in shape, and healthy, an opportunity to make many friends, and a shot at getting a scholarship, and making it to the professional level in their sport. But long term, the negative effects are more in the sense it could damage a student permanently, from an academic level to a physiological level. Also, most of the positive things people would argue aren’t guaranteed to happen or isolate them from the negative effects. But when it comes to the negative side, a student would need to go through some of the stages, maybe not all, but for sure some. To sum it all up, high school sports are more negative on a student than positive, even though people tend to see only the positive things that can come from them.

Teachers worry for the kids and their education. When kids have practice for their sport, and have to come home and do homework takes away from freetime and puts too much pressure on them. Parents put too much tension on their child if they are pushing them in their education too. Not only does competition put stress on kids but doesn’t allow them to get school work done. When kids don’t get their work done they don’t pass their class, when they don’t pass, they don’t get to play sports. That puts too much pressure on kids.

In many ways they are positive, Resposability is the key so you have to keep your grades up, stay out of trouble, and set a good example for others before your school or coach to allow you to play. It 's been outrageous , how many kids get injured per year playing youth sports for school and organizations. The youth who play sports receive plenty medical attention throughout the year due to injuries cause from actions made occuring in games. Health plays a big part in sports because if your are are not healthy many things can go wrong with the body including dehydration, heart problems , and muscle spasm.
