Taking that extra step and getting a college degree is more important than ever. Though nothing is guaranteed, it’s more likely for one to get a job with a college degree than one without. There are a great deal of benefits of earning a college degree such as making more money, having better career opportunities, and more security / financial stability. Firstly, receiving a college education leads to more money. Multiple studies have shown that those with a degree earn more money throughout their lifetime than those who have only completed their high school education. According to the State Higher Education Executive Officers Association, “High school graduates earn an average only $30,000 per year while Bachelor graduates earn more than $50,000 a year and those who complete their master's receive over $70,000 a year.” This just proves that the more education you complete, the higher your salary will be. Earnings potential increases dramatically with the more education you receive. “Statistics show that college graduation correlates positively with economic factors like lower rates of unemployment and higher earnings.” explains …show more content…

Earning a college degree is a pathway to a successful career. Due to the fact that college gives you a wide range of skills, many college graduates end up in certain fields that are not what they actually studies in school.
