Texting or using your cell phone while driving represents a huge risk to yourself and the people around you. Most people are against the use of cell phone while driving because of the great risk that this represents and the many accidents that this has caused every year. While driving, adults and teenagers, I include myself, cannot resist the temptation to check the cell phones. Every time you hear a notification, you feel the urge to check it right away. But will something happen if you don’t check it right away? I don’t think so; many of these messages or call can wait until you get to your destination. Teenager and phones are a problem as it is. They are attached to their phone all the time and when they start driving, cannot put it away.

But is social media more important than your own life or others? Banning the use of cell phones will prevent accidents, the driver will be more concentrated on the road, and it will reduce the risk that this represents for the driver and everyone else around him.
Banning the use of cell phones while driving will prevent a lot of car accidents.

But this does not mean people will follow the law. It is just like drinking and driving is banned but people still get around it. Creating a law will not stop accidents but it will help reduce them. Banning will not be enough to prevent accidents but they also need to make aware people about the consequence of texting and driving, and what are the risks of doing it.
Drivers using their cell phones while driving are less concentrated on the road. Using yourself phone not just only reduce your attention on the road but also reduced the attention on the speed, reaction time, and avoiding hazards on the road. Distracted drivers cause fatal accidents every day. However, there are still no laws to prevent fatal accidents.
Text messaging while driving is captivating and puts the driver at great risk. Texting or sending email while driving requires mental, physical, cognitive attention. Therefore, your attention on the road is less. Less attention means to put yourself and surroundings in danger. Teens and phones are a problem as it is. Even though most people are in favor of banning the use of cell phones while driving, others do not support it. Why would someone be against a law that is made to keep you and others safe? As much as governments try to prohibit texting while driving and implement laws, they cannot stop it. But law or no law, the use of cell phones while driving puts your life and others at risk.
