Baseball has been in my life since I was a little boy. I've been playing since I could walk and haven't missed a season yet. I've been to many minor league games that are not professional but players in these leagues can become professional over time. I feel as if I am very capable of going far with it. I'd like to play all the way throughout college and hope I get noticed by a scout. Once I'm done with college if I haven't been drafted into the MLB then I'd probably try to play for the minor leagues in hopes of being noticed there. Ultimately my dream is to be drafted into the MLB and play professional baseball.

In this field of work, there are many tasks that you'll need to be able to do. First you need to be able to improve your skills by practicing. Second you will need to be able to keep all equipment in good condition. Next stay in the best physical condition by training, exercising, and dieting. Then you have to be able to listen to coaches about tactics and strategies. Also, you'll need to be able to follow all rules that apply to your field. In this field of work, you will need to understand that injury is a possibility and that it happens to athletes all the time. There is quite a few for being a professional athlete. First the benefit of having a high salary of working your way up to a higher salary. So, what this means is that your original pay will probably already be higher than most peoples in this field and then on top of that you have the opportunity to make even more than you start out with. Next, you'll have access to the best medical that there is now a-days. Either your team could have their very own athletic trainer/injury crew, or you'll already be able to afford top-notch care because of the money you're making. Also, if you're in public and having a good time you can be crazy as you want to be. So, of course they're things that you are not allowed to do on public television however, if you were to do something bad and be fined chances are you will already have enough money to pay for the cost(s) and then be able to move on in life. Then you'll have other money-making opportunities that arise before you such as being able to get sponsored by big sports brands such as Nike, Adidas, or even Under Armour. Many other things may come out of this for example you might eventually be able to have your own name clothing run through one of those sponsorships or maybe even having your own shoe made and sold by that company. The color barrier was enforced by preventing any teams with a colored player from competing at the professional level. Many team owners, umpires, and players justified their opposition to allowing blacks to play by declaring that only whites could uphold the "gentlemanly character" of professional baseball. Others argued that excluding blacks would prevent future racial resentment between the ethnicities, as players of different races would be competing for the same job opportunities.

High school football is very risky! There are so many ups and downs about this sport in particular. Many people would say it is dangerous for these young boys to play football though others will have a different outlook on it. Football is truly not that dangerous and it can be very helpful for some boys in various ways including, scholarships, personality and a learning experience.

I have been playing baseball as long as I can remember. My dream ever since I was little was to win a State Championship in high school. Baseball is the only sport that I could literally play every day and not get tired of it. I told myself that I would never give up my dream of playing baseball as long as I live.

Once again, after a successful season, Shadle Park was defeated by a Big 9 school in the first game of the regional tournament. This reoccurring event has led many to believe that the four year football program puts GSL students at a disadvantage compared to other districts. A junior high school football program would not only increase the competitiveness of the students but also have more important consequences.
