Persuasive Essay On Pro Life

The first cry, the first touch, seeing it’s little fingers reach out and hold on to a mother’s hand; this baby will become the person who cured cancer. But wait. It never even had a chance to breathe. Mothers say that they were not ready to bring a beautiful life into the world but the baby never had a say in the mother’s decision to takes it life. Abortion affects not only the baby, but the mom, the father, and everyone that knows about the wonderful miracle of life. Abortion, though legal in the United States, should be made illegal because it is morally wrong and murder.

People going through abortion do not know how they will feel after they lose their baby. They may have mix emotions, thinking that it is the right thing to do but still

being sad. Most women have the idea in their head that they can just forget about it, but the truth is that this event can scar their mind. Clare, a woman that decided to tell her story said, “‘I decided very regretfully on an abortion’”(From Relief to Regret: Readers' Experiences of Abortion). Clare goes on to explain the reason she decided on an abortion was that she was scared of what her parents would say. After the traumatic experience Clare felt like she failed herself and wants to show other women that abortion is not the way to go. Abortion is refusing to bring a human into the world and shows young women it is okay to throw away their mistakes with the easiest route.
Younger women who look up to women who take the easy way out will learn wrongly that the easy way is the “right way.” In the article, Should Abortion be Legal?, it explains how, “Abortion promotes a culture in which human life is disposable” (Should Abortion Be Legal?). Refusing to bring a future human being into the world is showing the next generation that life is easy to dispose of. Life should not be easily disposed of. When people create life it is a beautiful thing and creates a human being. If the next generation’s culture is going to show how life is trash and how mistakes can be erased. A generation who takes the easiest way out is a generation that is going to destroy the economy. Abortion takes away the freedom of having life.
Pro-life, a group who opposes abortion, has been around ever since abortion came out.

In an article that is about how science backs the Pro-life movement, a scientist by the name of Ashley McGuire said, “‘The pro-life message has been, for the last 40-something years, that the fetus … is a life, and it is a human life worthy of all the rights the rest of us have’”(Green), and goes on to explain how science is advancing. Ashley tells her story about the different timeline between her first child and her last. Science agrees that the fetus is a life and should be upholded to the rights of a full grown human. Science is now finding more discoveries on why abortion is wrong.

Science has discovered a link between breast cancer and abortion. When getting an abortion not only is the baby getting hurt, but the mother could be hurting herself. In a research done by the American Cancer Society it states, ”Some case-control studies, however, have found an increase in risk” (Abortion and Cancer Risk). Women are risking getting cancer because they do not want to bring in a wonderful thing into the world. Breast cancer is the second major cancer in women. Abortion is making the risk higher for breast cancer. But abortion is not physically wrong but morally

also.
When women get abortion they are killing a human. The definition of murder is, ¨the killing of another human being”(Murder). Abortion is killing a human, even if the human isn’t fully grown. When women kill a baby outside of the womb it is considered murder. Why is it different if they kill the baby inside the womb? It should not be. Abortions kill the baby. It becomes a life when the ova gets fertilized by the sperm. Killing a life it wrong, illegal, and sinful.
God says that it is wrong to kill someone multiple times in the Bible. It is in the ten commandments, “Thou shalt not kill,”(Exodus 20:13). It is quoted in the Bible over ten times. It is a major sin to kill someone: killing a baby is someone. Abortion is morally wrong. Women who get an abortion are essentially murders because they are killing someone. People with abortions are emotionally unstable for thinking abortions are the right way to go.
At age 18 the brain is not done growing. The brain does not fully grow until around age 25. As a teen girls do not know how much an abortion will affect the rest of their lives. In a recent study, it shows, “However, the proportion of teen pregnancies that end in abortion peaked in 1985, at 40 percent, and has been decreasing since then. In 2011, 26 percent of teen pregnancies ended in abortion”(Teen Abortions). With the decrease in teen abortion, it shows that more women are learning that having a baby is better than murdering a baby. Although going down twenty-six percent is still a big number. Women need to understand that it isn’t necessary to keep the baby, adoption is an option. There are a lot of women that can not have babies and women are killing them because they do not want them.
Abortions kill a human being and that is murder. A lot of people are in jail for murder and there should be a lot more. Abortions leave scars on the mother and fathers mind because they will always think about how they killed a sweet, little ball of life. Also, abortions put the mother in risk for breast cancer. A baby has the right to see for itself what life is and what life is about. When mothers get an abortion they are taking away the baby's freedom. It is morally wrong because God says it is wrong to kill. Scientist are now agreeing that the fetus is a life, no matter what the size of a child. Abortions should be made illegal because it is murder and morally wrong.
