Move or Stay
To move, or not to move? That’s the current situation that I must face right now. I have spent nineteen years of my life living in this area. Meeting new people and evolving into becoming friends, even best friends. Traveling with family up and down the country every summer. My friends and family has been on the side of me for my new journeys over the years. I am a person that loves to be around people that I have made memories with. Memories that I would not change or exchange for the for the world. Should I take a chance and leave or be safe and stay?

We go out to various places constantly. We to parties, the movies, and concerts together. Even the trivial things such as just sitting around watching movies and talking mean so much to me. I even had the opportunity to experience college with my old friends. We got a chance to be part of each other’s journey to our future. During my first year of college I have also got a chance meet and enjoy the company of more people. I have met people at our school’s social events. Those people that I have met there has also become friends of mine. It is easy to meet people and they become friends but it is not easy to leave them. It is like just abandoning the main people you talk to everyday for people you don’t even know. My friends are one thing but what about my family. Those are the people I have been with sense I was born. The people that helped raise me since a baby unable to walk. My aunt Rosita and my grandma Donna took care of me while my mom was at work. My aunt thinks I should go explore my life because it is too short. My grandma thinks that other places are dangerous. She also thinks that the family should stay together. I do not want to be here. I want to go out and see new things. I do not feel like I belong here in this state, not anymore. I have been here my whole life, should I fear change? I think that there are better things waiting for me beyond this state line. I have gone to visit Florida multiple times it is beautiful. I love the tall pom trees and the fresh ocean breeze on my skin. I knew once I laid my feet in the sand and felt the breeze. That this is the place where I am meant to be. I never wanted to leave and I never felt like I was more at home... It would be great to not have to experience the cold every year around the same time. I do not enjoying having to bundle up every winter. I would rather trade in my thick coats, snow boots and gloves. For a tank top, sandals and shorts. I rather have on my summer close all year. There is always something to do and somewhere for me to go. For example, museums, the beach, and theme parks. In Florida, there is a wide variety of diverse cultures. The place is wonderful to start a life and a family. There are many different new people to meet. It is almost like you get a clean start or a second shot at life. So, if I decide to go it is not only for my own personal benefit but for my future family, and career as well. I have seen how hard it is for families to get jobs around here. I have seen my family struggle being in Illinois and Missouri. We are a very poor state and people are losing
Many folks go their whole lives without having to move. For them it is easy; they know the same people, have loads of friends, and never have to move away from their families. As with me, I was in a different situation. I grew up my entire life, all eighteen years of it, in a small town called Yorktown, Virginia. In my attempt to reach out for a better life style, my girlfriend and I decided we were going to move to Shreveport, Louisiana. Through this course of action, I realized that not two places in this country are exactly alike. I struggled with things at first, but I found some comforts of home here as well.
It has been said that the grass is always greener on the other side. Being excited about the newness and challenges of a new place may not enable it to stay green for a lifetime, but the new place is a great place to spend the next four years. So even though I lived my whole high school life in one city where there were no actual problems, it still was time for me to move where there were new experiences.

Maya Angelou once said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” That quote is the best description of Phenix City. The people of this town make up that wonderful feeling. When you cross that city line, yes, everything moves slower and it is more laid back. But, I, like Freddie Hart, proudly admit that Phenix City, Alabama is my old hometown!
Gentrification is described as the renovation of certain neighborhoods in order to accommodate to young workers and the middle-class. For an area to be considered gentrified, a neighborhood must meet a certain median home value and hold a percentage of adults earning Bachelor’s degree. Philadelphia’s gentrification rate is among the top in the nation; different neighborhoods have pushed for gentrification and have seen immense changes as a result. However, deciding on whether or not gentrification is a beneficial process can become complicated. Various groups of people believe that cities should implementing policy on advancing gentrification, and others believe that this process shouldn’t executed. Both sides are impacted by the decision to progress gentrification; it is unclear of the true implications of completely renovating impoverished urban areas; gentrification surely doesn’t solve all of a community’s issues. I personally believe that gentrification is not necessarily a good or bad process; gentrification should occur as a natural progression of innovative economies and novel lifestyles collide within certain areas. Policy involving gentrification should not support the removal of people out of their neighborhood for the sake of advancement.
Imagine having to leave your hometown, where you have lived all of your life, in search of another job. You do not want to move, but at the same time you want to provide food and a decent lifestyle for you and your family. News arrives that an abundance of jobs are available in another part of the country. Hoping for the best, you pack your bags and head for employment. Your kids are saddened about the situation, but they understand the need for relocation. During the travel to the new area, you and your family begin to get excited about living in a different place, even though everyone regrets leaving friends and family behind.
Nobody really likes moving. At least I know, I don 't. Moving to another place you have no idea about is tough. When I was 14, my father petitioned my family to move to the United States. Upon hearing that news from my mother, I was devastated. Devastated that I have to leave the place that I grew up, leaving all my friends and family. I have to travel 10,000 miles across the glove to live in a place I have never been to. I have very little idea about United States before moving, I have only seen this place through screen, watched movies such as "High School Musical." From what I have heard and seen life seemed so much easier and happier in the US, but once I stepped out of the plane, I knew it would not be even close to what I have pictured in my mind.
Immigration is the greatest part of American history. In the beginning, Immigrants brought a vast variety of cultures and beliefs and turned America in to the beauty it is today. Immigrants are still doing this. However, the issue with immigration can be it 's illegal status. Many undocumented immigrants are entering this country causing questions among the American citizens. Rather than asking if this is right or wrong, a solution can be found. Illegal immigrants come here for a purpose and can be helped with this purpose. The United States of America was founded by and for immigrants who were searching for freedom. It has become the land of opportunity, the home of the free, and a place where you can experience the American dream. Moreover, each year whether it is voluntary or not, thousands of people will immigrate to the U.S in hope of a better tomorrow, leaving behind their families, homes and identities. Nevertheless, the journey is not always easy, most of the time these immigrants have to face many obstacles in order to come into the United States. Wrong. It's too soon to start taking reproductive freedoms for granted. The next president will appoint two or three Supreme Court justices, potentially changing the Court's position on this pivotal case. George W. I should receive a passing grade in this class because I can write now. Not just an exaggeration, but after another semester of English I finally feel confident that can write. Most people today think that family is just being close and knowing each others past and secrets. When really, family means being there for someone when they really need you. Those who value both their family and friendship relationships enjoy greater health and higher happiness. While no one should solely rely on friendships, these do have an impact on a person's well-being. This gives a better understanding and allows a person to thrive both physically and mentally. Just as with family relationships, having good friends can enhance the ability to cope with stress and learn how to grow as a person. College is a time for change. For most people it is a time when they find their way and become more independent. They will seek out new things, make mistakes, and learn how to manage time and energy. When life becomes stressful it will cause the need to rely on friends that are going through the same thing. When meeting back up with old friends, they may seem more mature or completely different. The way college changes friendships will be different for everyone. No two friendships are alike, so separation of going to college will affect everyone differently. Some friends will stay close so there will not be many changes and they will probably still text every day. While others will drift apart and might not even talk at all. College students will make new friends, maybe a new roommate, people in their classes, or in the cafe. There are a lot of opportunities to meet new people. Even with old friends in college, those friendships might change and meeting new people will cause one to grow
