In modern society, people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are seen as heroes for being individuals and starting something of their own. But people like Hitler and Stalin are seen as evil and despicable even though they did the same thing. But why; because killing people just for not going along with exactly what you want always will be frowned upon. This happens to be the same reason that Jack, the choir leader, in The Lord of the Flies is seen as despicable. He went full savage on everyone and tried to take over his little world. This exact behavior can also be seen in the work of Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin. They killed for their opinion of right, and tried to take over the good thing that the rest of the world had going on.

And according to cps.gov.uk, the penalty for attempted murder in England with, “Little or no physical or psychological harm,” is 6-14 years in custody. According to the same website the sentence for an offender under 18 years old happens to be 12 years. So even though he never directly killed anyone he things that are just as bad.
In conclusion, the answer to the question, “Is he a hero because he is an individual, or is he despicable?” is despicable. The Merriam-Webster dictionary’s definition of despicable is, “very bad or unpleasant : deserving to be despised.” He has done a lot of the same things some of the deadliest people of all time like Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, and Osama bin Laden have done. He has done planned attacks, turned the boys on the world (island) against each other, and asserted dominance with deadly force. That is deserving of the description,
