Lord of The Flies shows use what would happen if little kids were lost on an island alone with no rules, no leaders, and no adults. LOST shows us what would happen if adults were lost on an island with the same consequences. Would they kill? If so, who and why? Having rules and being civilized can help the country to be a safe and reliable place to live. You need rules, to have rules you need a society and a humane culture. The Lord of The Flies has already elected leadership roles, while LOST has no rules, Leadership role or jobs for the adults. Without rules and order people do bad things like murder. Murder is the killing of another human being under conditions specifically covered in law. There are two types of murder, second-degree and first-degree murder. First-degree murder is a premeditation or planned murder. Second-degree murder is by intent, not planned. In Lord of The Flies and LOST people were killed, was it an accident or murder? Jack got the shrapnel out of Marshal Edward Mars, but he got infected and was dying. To help him get over the pain Kate and Sawyer agreed on shooting Edward. Sawyer shot Edward in the chest to shoot his heart, but missed and hit his lungs. Jack had to deal with Edward in pain and his lungs bleeding.
