Half of the people that don’t smoke marijuana are against to legalize it. It shouldn’t be legalize because teenagers use it during early ages. Marijuana has been known since many years ago. Most of the marijuana comes from Mexico since 1975 because it was easy to grow it, and easy to sell it. They shouldn’t approve the legalization because non-smokers see the bad effects on weed and the smokers take advantage. Smokers think weed is normal, and not harmful at all.
The long terms effects of cannabis are unhealthy it can cause the brain to start working slower. This one damages the lungs and heart. In long period of smoking too much pot can cause bronchitis, coughing, and wheezing. Smokers always say weed is not bad at all, but they not concern that the bad effects come when they grow old. Later in life the body won’t be capable to fight a strong disease because all that drug in the body. Scientist have proven that marijuana makes students get low grades and even be capable to steal. Students that smoke pot have the less opportunity to learn in schools. The people who smoke weed are not concerned how many chemicals they put in herb. Approximately 400 chemicals are found in it.

It made people who sell it get easy money, and it also caused corruptions among countries. People who sell it don’t care if others get addicted to it. Sellers have no heart they just thinking about selling it and getting money. The cannabis plant has been the topic of much debate throughout the history of this country. Many people don't know that it was not the effect of cannabis that originally spurred its banning. It was actually originally the work of the cotton industry who put big money behind illegalization for the plant's mind altering effects. The cotton industry was afraid that hemp, a product of the cannabis plant, would soon overpower the strong hold of cotton since it was a more durable textile that required less work, less ground depletion, and could be grown almost anywhere. Since the time when cannabis first became illegal it has been grouped with other narcotics as a counterpart. The truth is cannabis has many benefits to society and other than the effects of smoke inhalation has very few negatives. Those against legalization try to put cannabis in the same light as other more potent drugs like cocaine and heroin. There are many misconceptions about the substance and it is clear it should be looked at separately.

Why isn 't marijuana legal in the United States? Marijuana could serve many purposes to the human body and the community. In 1937, the government issued the Marijuana Tax Act. This act immediately criminalized marijuana. This means you can not have possession of the drug for medical purposes or not. This act is still in effect today, but it should be repealed .

While Cannabis use can be very effective in relieving pain and relaxing a person it has many negative effects. Marijuana use is a danger in the way it impairs the way your mind creates memories. When driving your judgment is altered and not many would appreciate if someone under the influence is on the road. Another way is the effects it has on a person’s lungs causing respiratory illnesses.
