The article, “Toddler’s image stops us in our tracks,” written on September 2015 by Beth-Giat reported a horrible tragedy to hit a family. Ben-Ghiat wrote, “Images of migrants’ suffering, and of humanitarian rescue, have filled our news for more than a year now. They have become such a common sight in the media that we hardly see them. Then, one image comes along that stops us in our tracks: a toddler, lying dead on beach in Turkey.” Ben-Ghiat says that people have grown used to the tragedies, but those images of the child lying on the beach, touches even the toughest person at the core. The image is painful to watch. Imagine if that was someone familiar. The child’s mother and and brother died as well. The only surviving member of the family, the child’s father, brought their bodies from Turkey back to the the city the family fled from for burial. The journey doesn 't always have a happy
Gabriel in the eyes of the world was a survivor whose life got taken away by two malicious caregivers. The Newscaster and reporters depicted Gabriel as a sweet and innocent little boy. The pictures they showed of Gabriel, he was always smiling, and they wanted all communities to view Gabriel as the victim. In contrast, when a picture was seen of Pearl and her boyfriend they was viewed as mean, and resentful. They never smiled, and never looked regretful about the incident. The social workers was also seen as the enemy, and was presented by the media as such. The newscasters interviewed people who blamed the social workers as much as they blamed Gabriel’s parents. The media presented Gabriel’s story in ways that will guarantee sympathy and empathy. People in the community were distressed over Gabriel’s death. After watching and reading the news about Gabriel’s story, and the torture he endured, there’s no debate on whose side the community would stand
Nowadays, United States is the country that has variety of cultures, races, etc. mixing together by having immigrants in their countries. However, they need to control these group of people also. More people out of country are trying to stay in the U.S. However, this is not an easy process to deal with. There is an immigrant policy that they have to go through. In the past, United States is wide open for people to settle down on this land. There is no process of immigrants. However, in the middle of 1840 to 1880, immigrants started to come in the U.S. such as Irish and Chinese because of demanding of unskilled and cheap labors. In the 1920, automation replaced unskilled labors as a result immigrant’s policy is limited quotas for immigrants

The question this research will attempt to answer is why an immigration reform is needed? One of the reason is that are more than 11 million of undocumented immigrants in the United States. Many people come all around the world with one dream in their hand and is to make better life for themselves and their families. Our immigration system needs to start to realize the hardships, and the contributions for those undocumented immigrants moving here. Trying to keep their families together here in this country, with the hope of creating a legal path or process of citizenship in the country. The same hope that will compensate the United States rather than create more expensive by trying to deport millions of people, and building a wall between two

Most of the United States (U.S) is comprised of immigrants—including those who have migrated to the States from another country and those whose ancestors freely travelled to the States in search of a fresh start. Every year, the U.S. grants a limited number of people around the world the opportunity to immigrate to the States each year. As a result of the restriction, citizens from neighboring countries cross the border illegally. According to an article by Jens Manuel Krogstad, 11.3 million unauthorized immigrants reside in the U.S. in 2014. This whopping number has stirred controversy both politically and economically for America’s government officials. As a result, many people argue whether illegal immigrants should or should not be aided
Illegal immigration has become a controversial topic in politics within the US. Some believe that undocumented immigrants are vital to the U.S. economy because they take the jobs Americans do not want. Others however, have the opinion that undocumented immigrants should be punished for doing things illegally, arguing that undocumented immigrants are taking the jobs of the American people and taking abusing it by not paying taxes. Although there are speculations that support the claim that immigrants should be punished, there are several counterarguments that state why they should be allowed to stay. Undocumented immigrants are an important factor to the development of the United States of America, immigrants have supplied a widespread example
Immigration is the greatest part of American history. In the beginning, Immigrants brought a vast variety of cultures and beliefs and turned America in to the beauty it is today. Immigrants are still doing this. However, the issue with immigration can be it 's illegal status. Many undocumented immigrants are entering this country causing questions among the American citizens. Rather than asking if this is right or wrong, a solution can be found. Illegal immigrants come here for a purpose and can be helped with this purpose. Most come fleeing persecution, although some come here for more demented reasons. Those, illegal immigrants will be done away with. However, Those immigrants who come here for pure reasons need to be taken Care of in proper
The question we bring before you is one that has caused controversy, anger, fear, and even prejudice around every corner of America. One that the United States government has asked themselves again and again with no real answer, should immigrants be allowed into our country freely? The United States have dealt with illegal immigrants ever since this country was founded in 1776. This country was built on immigrants. And yet, the US government still will not allow immigrants into America. They keep asking themselves, should we, should we, and should we? Our answer is yes, they should, pending, however, a background check, blood test, and be required to take ESL classes, because there are certain stipulations that are needed. If they have a
Immigration is one of the most common disputes in the United States, let’s define what immigration stands for. Illegal immigrants are makers, not takers. Many American citizens see these approximate 11 million illegal immigrants in a negative view and don’t want them living in their communities. However, many of these American citizens don’t know why illegal immigrants come here and what good they actually do to this country. Illegal immigration should be allowed because their quality of life is improved, they help the economy, and they bring job growth.

The U.S. govemment has faced the struggle for various decades to put an end to unauthorized immigration from Mexico and into the United States. Immigration as a whole has increased from 71,877,120 in 1960 to 213,316,418 in 2010 according to the data created and also reported by the World Bank. The government has made multiple attempts to stop the immigration process by implementing harsher measures along the U.S. and Mexico border and at work sites across the entire country. These measures however, have failed to end unauthorized immigration as a whole as immigrants still find a way to sneak by, settle, and make a living.. Americans who have a reason to oppose immigration argue that the safety and the strength of the nation’s economy are greatly threatened. However, strong supporters argue that instead of damaging and putting the economy at risk they provide a more stable environment.
Between January and November of this year more than 750,000 migrants have been estimated crossing into the EU’s borders compared to only 280,000 in the whole year during 2014 (www.bbc.com). This influx of refugees and asylum seekers from the Middle East has become a heavy burden for European Union policy makers. Many state leaders have opposing viewpoints and varying solutions to the crisis that is plaguing their region and as a result there has been little to no actions taken to solve this ever growing problem. This crisis should serve as prime example of global cooperation, and it should highlight the ability to come together internationally and deal with important problems that affect all individuals. The solution of the refugee crisis will
