So now I have decided to stop dating the younger generation. Now focus on the OAP’s! Well not quite, as my ex, he was 54 ' and when we first met he was 52 however, within six months he aged 10 years but I felt stuck as fell in love’ so I thought and wanted to make it work as I don’t like giving up on people as I’d not like them to give up on me. This however came to a dead end — but each dead end I reached there would be an excuse, so I’d turn around and give it another go, but then, yet another dead end and this went on for quite sometime. I listened to the excuses given, understood them. I even began making excuses till the point came that enough was enough, especially when my daughter had it out with him too, saying “Tom! He played that card of having to leave early to catch some river waves for his paddle boarding down the river Avon. A kiss on the cheek and he was gone.
I finished up mine and went and met up with my mother for dinner — we hadn’t seen nor spoke to each other for three months, so this date in one way led to us talking again.
A text message recieved around 10pm says -
‘Hey Grace, lovely to meet you today and really sorry about having to dash off. Are you free for dinner after work on Tuesday?’
Today is Sunday, — This is good I thought, although not sure it’s worth it as kind of know it won’t go anywhere, but maybe we were both having an off day.
We arranged then to meet up near by my mothers as I’d have my daughter with me so she could in fact spend some time with her nan. We were all happy.
Tuesday! — How fricken awful was this. He looked me up and down like dirt but was polite. Maybe he thought ‘na, this isn’t going to work.’ He asked what I wanted for food and ordered me fish with fries instead of a bagette and sweet potatoe fries. But I ate politely.
After the date, which went well as far as talking, but there was no chemistry nor did I like the guy as he didn’t

My mom had been going to school in Greeley and staying at my Aunt Margaret's house . She had been away for two weeks and wanted to come home for the Fourth of July weekend. My mom had suggested that I go back with her and visit colleges, shop, go to movies and just spend time together. I had been feeling pretty sorry for myself since she had been gone. I had been working alot as a maid and helping my dad run the house, I was getting very irritated with my siblings as I felt that I was the only family member doing my part to help my dad. I was really excited to have a week with my mom to myself. The whole ride over we were talking about what I wanted to do that week. Making plans and having "me time" seemed very important at the time.
Imagine if you will a beautiful sunny day. The sky is blue not a cloud in the sky, you have just woken from a night’s sleep. As you slowly set up in the bed your parents picked out for you, wearing your favorite p.js., and you look around your room wear on the walls are pictures of you, your parents, other relative, and you’re friends it hits you it’s your birthday and you are now eighteen-years old. OH the joy that feels you you’re an adult you rush to the kitchen where your mom is fixing your favorite breakfast, she tells you that the rest of your family is coming for supper. You think to yourself how wonderful it is to be you you’re loved, you’re safe, and you’re supported. No the flip side of this coin of life is much the
Unfortunately, as many people know, suicide claims the lives of many individuals each year. Of these individuals, a large amount of them are youths as one third of all deaths amongst adolescents is suicide related (Liu & Mustanski, 2012). Now add sexual orientation to that equation and you will find that many lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender youth are at an increased risk for suicide and self-harm. As a nurse, I believe that this is a growing health concern that people can help change. In order to help change the suicide rates, especially amongst LGBT youth, the general public should be made more aware of what they can do to show their support.
At the point when individuals consider rape, they may picture an outsider hopping out of a shadowy place and assaulting somebody. Surprisingly, study shows only about a portion who are assaulted know the individual who assaulted them. This notorious action is recognized as date rape. Date rape is involuntary sex that can occur on a date or at a party with a person the casualty knows. It appears that females are presumably to be raped; however, it can transpire to men. Men are not always the suspects. In frequent cases, women are the suspects. Many people overlook date rape which can cause many people to not share their story. However, date rape does happen and it is important to know it occurs, being overmedicated, reactions, avoidance, and what to do after being assaulted.
To obtain or not obtain a college a degree has been the thought running through every person’s brain that has gone through and completed high school. For me, I remember sitting down with my mom one Sunday morning watching Good Times while she was reading that day 's paper and drinking coffee; just out of the blue I dozed off into my state of consciousness and started wondering what and how life could be if I decided not to go to college at all. So I turned around on the couch and faced my mom, who was highly concentrated on the article she was reading, and I just blurted out, “Mom what if I choose not to go to college?” She sat her coffee and newspaper down on the table and said “Well if you don’t go to college then you will be stuck working 2 or 3 minimum wage jobs just to survive and support yourself. And I’m not going to be of any help to you if decide this route. I will back you 100%, but I will not be of any good use when you need help paying your bills.” I whined, “But mom I don’t even see why it’s important for me to waste four more years of my life just to work for someone else.” She then took a sip of her coffee that was still noticeably hot
On the way home, tears of frustration again stung my eyes. There was no stopping them. Another "being stood up" mark was added to the ever growing list. This one had pierced my heart and the resolve of my soul was to never date again. Thus, the book of dating was slammed shut and the key sank to the bottom of the pool.
Love – a strong feeling of affection. This is the official definition of the word ‘love’ in the Oxford dictionary. However love is not something that can be defined by five simple words. It is an unexplainable feeling that differs from person to person. Therefore what I may describe as love will be completely different to what your idea of love is. Although they may be similar they will not be the same.
Dating has built-in problems, and if we continue to date according to the system as it is today, we will more likely swerve into trouble. If your relationship is founded on our culture's defective attitude and patterns for romance, even if you have good intentions, you will likely reap the consequences in your adulthood. The following points are some of the swerves dating relationships often make.
Teen years are a difficult time, with hormones out of control, trying to fit in, and figuring who you are. Dating is a big deal during this time because everyone starts to do it so one might feel peer pressured into wanting to date also. Without having any experience it can be really difficult for teens, relationships can go bad and the teen can become hopeless. This is why we believe that parents should be involved in their teen 's dating experience. By the parents being involved they can provide their teens with expectations that they have for them, they will have a less chance of falling victims of domestic relationships, parents will be able to provide emotional support to their child

Being a teenager isn’t easy. You have a lot of things on your mind, a lot of things to worry about, a lot of things to carry and when I mean carry, I mean both physically and mentally. During the 17 years of my life that I have lived so far, I believe that I have never carried this much before. Part of it I think is because it’s senior year. Actually I think that 's the biggest reason why I feel so much pressure on my shoulders. I’m pretty sure that everyone can agree on this, especially if you’ve been through it before. I’m not talking to the adults of course because I know your lives are difficult and what not, but I’m mostly talking to the teens who are currently going through the same stage of life that I’m in right now. Now I’m not saying my life is difficult in any means because I know that I
Teens today face a lot of pressure. Many students deal with difficult life situations that hinder them from focusing on their futures. This can lead to a loss of interest in school and school events, such as a sports, clubs, or after school programs. Teens start to prioritize other things over their education. Every year, over 1.2 million students will leave school without earning a high school diploma in the United States alone (“11”). That’s a student every 26 seconds – or 7,000 a day (“11”). The United States, which used to have the highest graduation rates of any country, now ranks 22nd out of 27 developed countries (“11”). Students may not realize that by dropping out of high school they are more likely to commit crimes, become parents at a young age, use and abuse alcohol and drugs, and live in poverty (“Drop”). Dropouts make up the majority of those
As time goes on, teen pregnancy is becoming more and more common throughout the world. So many people frown upon this whole idea. Such people act as if the teenage parents’ world is going to come to an end. Although these kids’ life is going to be making a big turn, there are many of them who are mature enough to take on the responsibilities of a baby.
