So now I have decided to stop dating the younger generation. Now focus on the OAP’s! Well not quite, as my ex, he was 54 ' and when we first met he was 52 however, within six months he aged 10 years but I felt stuck as fell in love’ so I thought and wanted to make it work as I don’t like giving up on people as I’d not like them to give up on me. This however came to a dead end — but each dead end I reached there would be an excuse, so I’d turn around and give it another go, but then, yet another dead end and this went on for quite sometime. He played that card of having to leave early to catch some river waves for his paddle boarding down the river Avon. A kiss on the cheek and he was gone.
I finished up mine and went and met up with my mother for dinner — we hadn’t seen nor spoke to each other for three months, so this date in one way led to us talking again.
A text message recieved around 10pm says -
‘Hey Grace, lovely to meet you today and really sorry about having to dash off. Are you free for dinner after work on Tuesday?’
Today is Sunday, — This is good I thought, although not sure it’s worth it as kind of know it won’t go anywhere, but maybe we were both having an off day.
We arranged then to meet up near by my mothers as I’d have my daughter with me so she could in fact spend some time with her nan. We were all happy.
Tuesday! — How fricken awful was this. He looked me up and down like dirt but was polite. Maybe he thought ‘na, this isn’t going to work.’ He asked what I wanted for food and ordered me fish with fries instead of a bagette and sweet potatoe fries. But I ate politely.
