Could you handle being homeless day after day and keep things together? Visualise feeling lost, alone and not knowing what to do or not having anywhere to go. You spend each night in the musky weather on a bench, on which you call your bed. Being disturbed and woken up by the sound of chattering noises where you decide on which public place would allow you to cleanse yourself. When you get hungry, you beg people for change to eat a cheap meal or you search the nearest garbage can. For the rest of the day you sit on a sidewalk hoping people will notice you and want to help out, and you realise that most people in society are not aware of homelessness, and wonder if the circumstances in homelessness will ever change.

This is a common thought for solving homelessness. However, this advice is valueless, additionally, there are objective reasons why people lose homes and jobs, and why they cannot return to their normal life. In today's society, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. Displayed in Streetsmart organisation, it is estimated that about 54% of homeless people are homeless because of the inability to afford housing. The homeless cannot aid themselves, and it is nearly impossible to start a new. That is why change needs to be made, thus they need our support. Sometimes a homeless becomes homeless by their own actions, for instance, through the act of gambling. These people, in my opinion, should have to deal with the consequences of their actions while on the other hand, then there are the victims of society who, not by their fault, are forced out of their homes through natural calamities, war, unemployment and more. The government can help the homeless in many ways if services, intervention initiatives, and enough financial aid were allocated appropriately. Everyone should have a place to call home. Consequently, one way of helping them is providing them with shelter. According to some organisations such as Mission Australia and Homelessness Australia, they state that on any given night in Australia, 1 in 200 people are homeless. Let me give
