Whether, you are in McDonalds, Wal-Mart, or at the mall, you pass someone who is currently carrying a concealed weapon. Do not seem so shocked. This is possible because of the second amendment. The second amendment to the constitution protects the people’s right to bear arms. Even though this is stated in the constitution; congress is trying to pass stricter gun control laws. Forty-seven percent of Americans say they favor stricter laws covering the sale of firearms. Thirty-eight percent of Americans say these laws should be kept as they are now, and fourteen percent say they should be made less strict. I believe they should be kept as they are now. I believe this because humans today are more violent. We are capable of anything. Even killing someone. I am against gun control because if we are forced to give away our guns than we have no form of protecting ourselves against the criminals who get their guns …show more content…

A taser and bottle of pepper spray? Schools are considered as gun free zones, but not all schools are. “Public schools such as Colorado State, let students and teachers carry concealed handguns. There has been no evidence of this problem” (O’Neill 76). Amazing how we can have guns at this school and have no gunfights. We protect what we love, right? We have armed security at banks, stores, and football stadiums. We protect the President with heavy security. We do not have armed security at our schools. Colorado State has proven that teachers and students can be well trusted to carry guns to school. In elementary, middle, and high schools, there should be at least two to three police officers carrying a concealed weapon. If there was a shooting at the school you were in and you had a handgun, you could easily shoot and injure, or kill, the armed criminal. You would not have to wait on police to
