Genetically modified foods are one of keys in helping us to advance, our modern Health methods. Gmos have been an idea for a while, but have only been a reality for a short amount of time. The basic idea of genetically modified is changing the genetic makeup of a certain food to make it healthier or more durable. Many foods in the US are already being modified, like Corn, Canola, and Soy. This is an incredible advancement of our modern technology that we should continue to develop, and use.
We should allow the the Genetically modified foods to be sold in public grocery stores, and we should sell it to farmers. First of all, genetically modified foods are better for the environment because the do not need insecticides. "Insecticides generally have a broad spectrum, and they kill lots of different types of insects, not just the pests," said study author Michelle Marvier of Santa Clara University in California(National Geographic). This can cause animals to struggle in their natural habitat and even become endangered. This is important because, foods that have no pesticides are healthier for us and the environment in which they are grown.

According to a study at Columbia University, gmos are an option because they can be modified to be more resistant to weather and weeds. They can also be altered to be pest resistant so they can grow in areas with huge amounts of bugs. This can help us combat hunger because, they can be grown in places that previously had no growing capabilities. This can help poor countries get the food that they need without overspending. Although some people would say that there is enough food in the world to feed everyone; which is true, it is not a solvable problem because in some areas of the world the food cannot grow or countries are too poor to be able to buy the foods that they need to
