“My journey to hell and back begin twelve years ago when I met what I thought would be the man of my dreams. In the beginning it was all good but as time went on he became someone I didn’t know. My children and I were physically abused and I had to find a way out.” Jane experienced what no person should have to endure which is Domestic Violence. Domestic Violence is commonly known as violent or aggressive behavior in the home involving the violent abuse of a spouse or partner. Experiencing domestic violence can cause long term effects on young Americans. Having more programs to help these women get out of these situations and building their self-esteem will help to lessen domestic violence cases. According to the University of Michigan domestic violence is important right now because it is a serious social problem and a national health concern. This will allow for the victim to get courage to walk away from the relationship with no fear and also it will let the abuser express why they are abusing their spouse or partner. Also the advantages of my solution would be many lives will be saved. This will cause less broken homes and also it will give the victim and the abuser a second chance at the relationship if they are willing to get back together. This solution would work because the victims would feel comfortable about leaving the home without worrying about the abuser coming after them and the abuser will be away from them getting the necessary help that they need. Sometimes all the abuser needs are someone to talk to about what they have went through in the past. The abuser most of the time expresses their anger towards someone that actually is willing to love them and the abuser is afraid to open up to real love so they act
