There is an ongoing debate over whether or not a dog park would serve the community of Muscantine, Iowa well. One side believes that putting up a dog park will allow dogs to excert their energy into playing. They state that this will result in less agressive behavior. However, the other side believes a dog park is a massive waste of tax payer's money, and that dog owners should build a park on their own, far away on private land. they stated that having a dog park will disrupt people in their homes due to the loud barking. Putting up a dog park is greatly benificial to pet owners and non-petowners alike. With a dog park, dogs will be able to excert all their energy and get tons of exercise outdoors. Also, they will have better attitudes towards other dogs because they have grown accustomed to unfamiliar faces. For non-petowners, this means that dogs will be less aggressive when interacting with strangers, meaning less dog bites, less indoor barking, and even friendlier interactions. …show more content…
They believe that it is just a waste of money and the city should focus its funds on more critical matters. Also, saying that it is unfair for them to have to pay extra taxes for a park that doesn't benefit them at all. Those who might live near the park would have to suffer the loud shouts of the owner along with the dog's barks, meaning possibly less sleep. Finally, the opposing side will suggest that petowners should simply build their own park far away and on private property rather than waste the money of people who do not have dogs at

If you’re a pit bull owner in Sioux City, Iowa, you are faced with certain ordinances that make it more difficult to own and keep your dog. This is Sioux City’s attempt to keep its citizens’ safe and prevent the abuse and harm of the pitbull. The city is trying to promote safety and animal advocacy. This ordinance is not effective because it punishes the animal and not the owner; it also does not take into account the animals individual personality. Legislators should create laws that consider all dogs based on their individual behavior and hold owner accountable for their animals.
If there was a dog park, property values would most definitely go up. The community should try to make every resident happy where they live. Some cat owners don't feel dog owners should be able to get a dog park since they themselves are not asking for a place to bring their cats. Cats are more of indoor animals and they don't need as much attention and exercise as dogs. Cats don't need wide open spaces to play around in. People feel as though they are being treated unfairly due to the lack of yard space and areas for their pets to roam around
Everyone loves puppies. Adjectives like cute, cuddly, adorable, and innocent are used to describe them. Sadly, the way they come into this world can be described as nothing short of ugly, premeditated and negligent. There are those who treat “man’s best friend” as though they were man’s worst enemy. Those people are in the business of manufacturing puppies by the millions, for millions. These particular manufacturing facilities they own and run are called “puppy mills”, where dogs and puppies are forced to live in the most inhumane, despicable conditions, far greater than prisoners of war or the worst criminals in our nation’s prisons have endured, causing inevitable high mortality rates. Of the six million puppies bred in puppy mills in the US annually, four to five million of them don’t survive. Everyday, eleven thousand cute, cuddly, adorable, and innocent puppies die due to these ugly, premeditated and negligent breeding procedures. Puppy mills should be shut down and made illegal until such time that strict laws are put into place to control and enforce humane breeding and living conditions, protecting the welfare of these dogs, and drastically lessening their mortality rate and the way puppy mill owners make their living.
If you were judged solely because of your race, how would you feel? The answer, most likely, is a negative one. Pit bulls, a breed of domestic dog, are victims of harsh stereotyping and unfair judgement. Many people believe the dog is naturally aggressive, but that is far from the truth. The breed does not matter, the size does not matter, and the age does not matter. The key factor on how a dog behaves, is, believe it or not, the person who raises it. Pit bulls are not a dangerous breed of dog.
Imagine your a little child sitting on your driveway, and then a pit bull comes up and attacks you. You have to go to the hospital, doesn't sound fun for an eight year old, does it? A lot of people think that pit bulls should be banned for that reason, they are dangerous. A lot of people also think that pit bulls are important too, and they shouldn't be banned. A ban on pit bulls is the best way to keep people safe.
Sidewalks are different shapes and sizes, people tend to make their own decisions to which way they would want to go. Going through the motions on a sidewalk is similar as going through the motions of life. There are many turns that could get you to your final destination and turns that can also get you into places you would not feel so comfortable being. Staying on the right path and trying to get to where you need to go isn’t so hard but when you have other sidewalks with nice grass and big beautiful street lights that can be a very big distraction to the eye and that could cause problems in your life. Nice sidewalks sometimes don't always tend to continue a nice path so they can be very believing at first but when you make it to the end
There are many people in the world that hate the way something about them looks. So their way of changing that is to undergo a surgery to fix their imperfections. A dog par can be a good experience for dogs because they can feel the relaxing place where they do not have to use leash, so they are free to move wherever they feel like to inside of the park. This situation can be helpful to the people, since they are free of worries of their dogs because a big closed pet-friendly place would give them the confidence that there are no hazards, like vehicles, or any damage to the dog. Also, a dog park in the city would help to create friendship and an identity of community since dog owners do not have to go to other cities to enjoy of these kind of parks. Instead, they can be part of an identity and recognize themselves with their own city.
Central Park was one of those best outdoor venues for huge concerts. But not only that, it is even one of the venue for the largest concerts ever in terms of estimated attendance. That seems quite a feat but the huge space that the park offers was able to accommodate around 980,000 attendees during Garth Brooks’ concert in 1997.
If one wants to live a more responsible, more active, and a healthier life style they should get a dog. Obtaining the previously mentioned qualities are great but gaining a best friend is even better. Dogs are intelligent animals and their personalities are one of a kind. With training, love, and patience any dog can become a great addition to one’s family. Adoption from an animal shelter is a great way to get a dog although there are adoption fees most of the money is being used to vaccinate the dog before its taken to its forever home. They say that a dog is a man’s best fried, but they don’t tell you about the overall cost, responsibility, or convenience about adopting one. Dogs are supposed to bring so much joy to a household, but sometimes they can only fill a void for a short amount of time. When a dog owner buys a dog, do they actually research the things that they are about to get in to? When I bought my dog, Skye, I never really looked into is issues; I just looked at the benefits. I love Skye to death, and I guess I could say that she also loves me to death. Pets are all over the world, and a part of many people's everyday lives. After seeing my grandmas dog close to death about a week ago, it reminded me of how impacted I was when I lost a pet in the past. That’s when I realized that pets leave a very impactful mark on other people's lives. Then, I remembered not everyone has had pets in their lives due to various reasons like allergies and seeing them as dangerous. This led me to my research question; Should kids have pets in their lives? Weighing the options, I can see both sides to the question at hand. I was a child who grew up with pets by my side, but I also had been greatly harmed by one. When I was just a preschooler, I was critically bit by my own dog in the face, just inches away from a fatal vein in my neck. I still have the scar to this day, yet I still surround myself with animals everyday.
The perfect dog sits, stays, rolls over and shakes .the very moment you decide to take on that puppy thats what most people think the puppy will be nothing but a cute playing little dog with good manners, “you must rely on the solid foundation of these seven things socialization, housetraining, sit, down, stay, come, and to walk nicely on leash. “ (De Vito 16)..From the beginning people have learned that a obedient dog brings upon many benefits for both dog and human.
