She also said to get away from her parents, but her experience in Miami was worse than she expected. She was paid the right amount of money, but when she went to do a shoot, she would be told only a little bit of what would happen when they were filming and would find out later there is more that will be taking place. She cannot back down, because she was prepaid and signed the contract so after completing the shoot, she felt disgusted and violated. She had to give a man a blow job and she had agreed to the blow job since she was paid but once she got to the shoot, they told her she was going to be doing a forced blowjob. A forced blowjob (for those of you who do not know,) is where a woman has to shove a dick down her throat and more than likely, throw up because it is arousing to men and people love to see it. It is degrading in so many ways, not only is it degrading physically but mentally as well. The male usually is calling her a bitch or a slut and tells her to do things with no questions asked. The industry could care less what happens to these poor women which is why women are degraded so much in day to day life.
Another issue that is being taken the wrong way is that not everyone sees women as sex slaves or toys. Some people will argue they see the

true beauty in women because without them life would not be able to go on. We would not be able to reproduce and it would cause the world to end. Without women there would not be pornography, because we would not have a way to show the nudity of women and sex through pictures and videos. They play a big role in the world and are used to reproduce and take care of everything equally with the man. On the other hand, women are used as sex slaves and toys.
They are taken advantage of when involved with the porn industry. In Vednita Carter’s article Prostitution= Slavery she angrily states, “Incredible. Debate regarding the purchase, sale, and trading of women and girls should not be part of any discussion in our society, and we as a nation should condemn any country that would allow such a conversation or such a practice” (315). Women are used as sex toys that is why there are always debates about purchasing women. It is very disgusting and no women should ever be sold or traded to please the man or used to be degraded or humiliated. Some people have no idea what prostitution even is and Carter
explains: Prostitution is about power and control, expressed through sexual violence. Prostitution is about men using women to satisfy their sexual desires, no matter how perverted, degrading, or humiliating. Contrary to the assumptions of some speakers at that panel, prostitution is not “sex work.” It is not “groovy” or “liberating,” not “unforced” or “victimless.” It is never, ever, really “a women’s choice.” Prostitution is based on acute economic inequality: being driven to “choose” prostitution because of poverty is force, is coercion. (315) Prostitution is also degrading women because the women have to take care of the man and make sure he is pleased and she must follow his orders. It is disgusting and objectifying women. The pornography industry and prostitution are helping women survive this harsh economic world but men take advantage of these innocent girls and it is not fair. However, they have no choice except to take it and find a void because they have no other way of making money and living in a decent environment.
Every semester, a student attending a college campus will have at some point experience some inappropriate, unwanted attention. There is always someone at school who tends to make someone uncomfortable, be it through eye contact, persistent advances, or just uncalled for innuendos. Of course, we do our best to ignore it, or to just report the bothersome activity, but that can only do so much without someone finding a way around such things. Someone is always going the extra mile to get what he or she wants, even if it’s at the expense of the victim. We can’t turn a blind eye on our friends, our family, or our associates in these dark, sexual assault situation. Campus sexual assault is a problem with plenty of factors regarding it.
The public does not know how to adequately and appropriately respond to rape because usually when these incidents occur, typically perpetrated by men victimizing women, society tends to blame the survivor, while excusing and justifying the attacker. This almost always occurs when the perpetrator is a white, upper class male, seen in the most recent case with the rapist from Harvard who was only sentenced to six months in jail for raping an unconscious woman. Rapists of color are typically given longer sentences than white rapists, while sometimes, many of these rapists do not serve any time in jail nor are charged for their crime. Rape can happen by women to men, women to other women, and by men towards other men, but because of the unbalanced power dynamics that leave women hierarchically inferior to men, they are most often the victims to these social superiors.
What is sexual assault? Sexual assault is, “any type of sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the recipient. Falling under the definition of sexual assault are sexual activities as forced sexual intercourse, forcible sodomy, child molestation, incest, fondling, and attempted rape” (Sexual Assault).
Females are targeted more than males due to their vulnerability, position as being lower than men, and the sexual preferences of society. Many cultures view woman as a possession used for sex and they do not have sexual rights to her own body. “Exploitative employers prefer to use trafficked women—traditionally seen as submissive, cheap, and pliable—for simple and repetitive tasks in agriculture, food processing, labor-intensive manufacturing, and domestic servitude” (US Department of State).
“Dirty Girls” is a documentary by Michael Lucid who was a senior in the spring of 1996. Michael documented eighth grade girls who went to the same private school as him. This group of girls were known as the “dirty girls” because of their poor hygiene. The name “dirty girls” came from other students that went to school with these girls. The first step of perception, which is the process of selecting, organizing, and interpreting information from our senses is selection. Selection is when we focus our attention on certain sounds, smells, sights etc. (McCornack, 2016). The first thing that the classmates see from the “dirty girls” is their appearance. Just by looking at how they are dressed they start the process of perception. Close after seeing
About eight decades ago, the United States Constitution granted American women the right to vote. During the same era, only men ran for office and decided what is best for American citizens. Many females in the world today are becoming politicians. Today, many women will consider running for local offices in their communities. The “Women Rights” article states “women were excluded from the electoral process for more than 140 years”. The “Women Rights” article also states that women did not have the opportunity to attend college. Women in their communities are considering running for president, commissioner, secretary, etc. American citizens will decide who should hold office. The three reasons why I believe women should consider politics are
“If you stand for equality, than you’re a feminist. Sorry to tell you.” This quote from Emma Watson calls out the misconceptions around feminism. Emma Watson has used her fame from Harry Potter to speak out about feminist issues. She stresses the importance of equal rights among all genders. Despite the negative connotation associated with feminism in today’s society, men are able to, and should be proud to be a feminist. Feminism is a debate of gender equality, not masculinity.
For centuries, women have simply faced the challenge of having their rights and being recognized in The United States. In a union that is supposedly “united”, women are often criticized, ridiculed, and shamed simply because they are women. There have been various efforts to get women their equality. There is a need for respect, that goes beyond just equality with men; it is a fight for living, surviving, and finally getting what is deserving of women. It is the equality and rights of women that should not be up for debate or heavily controlled by the government. Society is constantly dehumanizing women, their status, and undermining their achievements. There are many factors that play in the detrimental society in The United States such as rape culture, media, and religion.
Ryan Polakow 11P 1) In the Binge Drinking videos it shows us how the end of a night after drinking would look like. It reverses the experience one would have. We do not start our night’s paralytic, vomiting and going crazy so why would we want to end in that way.
imagine that you live in a world that you couldn 't just say no. Where you were forced to do things that you didn 't want to do. Imagine that just because you said no, that wasn 't enough. That you were worthless, that what you say not matter. This is how 293,066 Americans feel per year(“How often does sexual assault occur?”).They are victims of sexual assaults, there refusal wasn 't enough for someone to stop. No one can truly understand how these people felt until they realize what the problem is, why it 's happening and some solutions to the problem.
Why is it that people stereotype males and females no matter what nationality they are? Because we are all the same in the end but the media makes many people think differently. The general public thinks that all females like doing their hair, makeup, dolls and love light colors like color pink. Males on the other hand likes cars, playing video games, sports and like dark colors like blue. Advertisements are gender stereotyping whether people notice or care. Females are mostly openly stereotyped compared to the males because of our lack of abilities that males have. Stereotyping damages both genders but females more than males because of advertisement’s constantly reminding females on how they should act and be like all the time.
There are so many things that I have never found really interesting to me or at least something that could make me want to try and change it. I still don’t understand why people want to hurt kids. This is not something that should be a norm in our culture, but it is. This should be changed instead of just letting it happen sure it is going to be hard to charge, but there are still things that we can do to help kids that have gone through it and their parents. It also does depend on who abused them then they can go to jail. There are still things that we do not have a real understanding as to what sexual abuse is in general. It is not a well-known topic unless some has been abused. We assume that the victim is to blame them for what happened to them, but it is not their fault. We blame people because we do not want to see the perpetrator as the one who should be in trouble. In this case we do not have the knowledge as to what sexual abuse really is. The definition of sexually abuse is a sex act that is non-consensual and this could be anything. This does not mean that consensual sex is
Prostitution is defined in the Oxford dictionary as the practice or occupation of engaging in sexual activity with someone for payment. Laws restricting prostitution are an example of sex discrimination by the government. The price of these laws comes with the cost of the basic rights and freedoms of the people involved. The criminalization of prostitution has pushed sellers to the streets and lead to moral discrimination and violence toward them. Despite the negative connotations, prostitution should be legalized in the United States because regulation would reduce the safety and health and moral issues associated with it while also financially benefitting the government.
There was a time in the world when women were without basic rights and required the power to make decisions about their own lifestyle. They weren’t educated to the same standard as men. They weren’t allowed to work, they weren’t even allowed to inherit property. Everything belonged to their husband or family. There were no women in the police force or government and women weren’t even allowed to vote. Men’s power over women often cost their lives , the physical power is obvious. But there is also emotional power. Yet, after many years, women and men are still not equal. Women and girls should be able to lead a free, equal and self-determining life in every corner of the world just like men do so.
There is constantly cessation why women and men cohabitate, nurture, desire, and endure. Many shrug the similarities and differences to the side due to the complex nature that is involved in understanding the progression. Since the beginning of time, according to the bible, man was placed as the dominant sex, fending for the families well being. The woman has tended to the important jobs around the homestead as situations arose. Often in society, one will find himself in a battle depending on the views of the receiving recipients. Following is a dialogue explaining a safe and metro sexual view as a general whole.
