“You’re going to end up being a teacher when you’re older,” said my mom while I was in middle school. I never believed that I would ever have the desire to want to teach children about certain subjects. In middle school, the teachers were just inconsiderate of everything that we were suppose to do not only in the classroom, but at home too and I never wanted to be someone that some people hate. Once I took chemistry and the ACT test, I knew I wasn’t necessarily cut out for being any type of doctor, so I decided to consider teaching. There was one teacher that really inspired me to be overall a good person and now that I look back on her teaching styles, I want my future classroom to be just like hers. I know that if I can provide my future students with sufficient information and lesson plans, then they will not have a chance to be unsuccessful. Many individuals are taking the process of process of parental licensing into their own hands, despite their contributions being made up in mind only, however, it is thought that counts. One respective person believes that a restriction on having children should begin at the earliest stage of one’s life: birth. As soon as a child is born, doctors should “go in and turn off their spickets” (McRedmond). In the later stages of life, this would prevent several cases of teen pregnancies, seeing as though it would be an impossibility for women to get pregnant. We as educators must always plan, create, update information, learn new things, observe other teachers, meeting the student where they are. If we don’t take the time out to teach them they will never know. Giving back to our students what was giving to us. The Bible tells us in Deuteronomy 11:19-20 says ”And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and thou risest up”www.biblegateway.com. It’s our duty to teach them everything we know. Even when they don’t want to learn it. We must teach even when we don’t feel like it. They must know. God will hold us accountable for what we have not given them. Our lesson plans must be in order to get them to work, learn and come away with an understanding and skills they need in life to make it. To give our students what they need to go to the next phase or level in their life. We are part of the puzzle. We are the one piece they need to move ahead. Teaching them how to problem solve. “Teachers should provide opportunities for students to be successful in completing tasks they value and see as challenging. Teachers who are intentional about involving students in goal setting and self-assessments will enhance student’s motivation to learn” (McCullough, 2008). Wayne and Kate is a middle-aged couple who have been together for many years. Their life was great before expanding their family. They used to go out every weekend and splurge. That changed when they had children, who were a real joy adding meaning to their lives but they proof to be financially taxing. Over time, Wayne and Kate had two children, who now are five, and eight years old. Because Wayne and Kate both work, they had to utilize childcare. Childcare proof to be expensive, however Wayne’s job offered childcare reimbursement. Otherwise, their finances would be too tight for the couple to cover costs. Wayne had a good position with the company, unfortunately his employer sold out to another company, which offered a different benefit package.
The mother will be affected because being an African American single mother, that already leads to half of the opportunities for any other race and gender. The mother is already at a disadvantage in receiving an education, financial support, and emotional support than other races. The whole “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” saying is quite irrelevant to these African American women. They have such a history of hard work in their past, and yet these single moms are treated inadequately. The idea of pulling yourself up by your bootstraps for a single African American mother would ideally mean getting an education because that is one of the main ways to increase your status. I could start this off by saying I knew I always wanted to be a teacher, but that would be cliché and not a part of my story. Throughout elementary school I had no idea what I wanted to be, if you asked me then I would have said a princess today maybe a rock star tomorrow. I always enjoyed school and it never came across as the place where teachers were out to get you and the bigger kids bully you until you give them your lunch money. I was always close with my teachers, because the better we got along, the better I knew I could focus and understand the material we were being taught. Becoming a teacher was not something I always knew I wanted. As I approached an age where I really started considering what I would like to do for a career I only knew that I did not want to work in an office behind a desk all day. I wanted a job that would be interactive, challenging and exciting. I also knew I wanted a job that would be important and would somehow contribute to the world in an important way. I thought being a teacher; particularly a teacher in the primary levels would fulfill those hopes and goals assuming I dedicate myself to becoming an effective teacher who has a positive influence on the lives of my students.
To begin out of the countless professions one has to chose from in the world today I have chosen to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher because I myself am a product of some whom I consider to be the best teachers in the world. As a child in North Carolina I was inspired by a wonderful woman named Mrs. Hollyfield. Mrs. Hollyfield taught me that no star was too far out of reach, if I put my mind to accomplishing my goal I could make it. Mrs. Hollyfield inspired me to be the best I could be at anything I wanted to be. As I have grown I have had other important teachers, some whom I am surrounded by daily whom inspire me to set out to accomplish my dreams. These wonderful inspiring people in my life have led me to the decision of becoming a teacher.
I’ve had teachers who taught in a way that was a good way for them to teacher, but wasn’t a good way for students to learn. I know I want to be a high school teacher, and by the time they will reach my class, my students should know how they should be presented the information, so that they can learn in such a way that is best for them. A teacher should be able to teach in a way that’s suitable for the majority of students, and be able to give extra help to those who don’t learn as the other students do. I want to be the teacher who is willing to put in extra time with the students for their classroom
A good education has always been drilled into my head ever since I was a little girl. Boy did I hate that, all I wanted to do was goof off and have fun with my friends. But as the years went on I started to realize how important it was to have a good education. Not that that made me like school anymore than I did; but I was realizing the different ways I was learning and how different people taught. I remember saying one day, when I was a freshman in high school, that if I was teaching this class I would have never taught it that way. Unfortunately, my teacher overheard me and I was forced to go to the front of the room and explain to the class the way it should be taught since I knew so much about teaching. Needless to say I did an awful job of it. That is when I started thinking about becoming a teacher. I know that does not make sense because I did such an awful job and was humiliated doing it. I did not like the way that man taught and I was determined to take his job. However, the reason I am here today is not that I want to take a teacher’s job; it is because I have the desire to make a difference in the lives of many students. I hope I will be a good teacher so that I will never have to hear a student say something bad about my teaching.
Do you remember the teacher that inspired you to do your best? Or maybe the teacher who believed in you when the rest of the world had turned against you? Teachers have a way of touching students’ lives, whether in a large or very minute way. I can think of numerous times that a teacher made a difference in my life. I am so appreciative of them, and I want to do for other students what many of my teachers have done for me. That is why, after I obtain, both, my Bachelor and Master degrees, I plan to enter the teaching profession.
Women are blessed with what I consider is the biggest gift in the universe and that is to give life to what once was part of them. At some point in our lives we ask ourselves……. What is a good mother? Although there can be endless definitions, my definition of a good mother is based on what I consider to be morally right. A good mother always thinks about her children first, a good mother is always willing to give her life for her children, a good mother is soft and gentle with her children, but a good mother becomes aggressive and protective when her children are exposed to potential threats and a good mother will always want the best for her children.
A family is a social foundation found in all societies. It unites people in supportive system as they care for one another. In many countries, including the U.S., families form around marriage and are seen as a legal relationship. Patterns of marriage and relationship vary around the world. There are four general marriage patterns around the world endogamy, exogamy, polygamy, and monogamy. Family support is a system involving two married individuals providing care and stability for their children. How the family support is in the household leave the impact on the children as they grow up. Present day how a family is formed has changed from traditional view now with single parents, divorced parent and gay marriage.

I have not always wanted to be a teacher. I always knew that I wanted to work with children in some way, but I was pretty sure that teaching was not for me. I was well on my way in my junior year of college working toward a biology degree so that I could become a pediatric physician’s assistant. I still cannot explain what happened, but one week I was a biology major, and the next I knew that I have always been meant to teach children. I suppose I just took the longer route to get there than most people do. The two main reasons that I have chosen to become a teacher is that I believe that teaching is extremely personally rewarding in many ways and the fact that I can actively make a difference in someone’s life.
Becoming a teacher has been the ultimate aspiration for myself since the first day I walked into kindergarten. As a very timid student, it was a difficult task transitioning from being with my mother everyday, to being part of a classroom environment full of strangers. However, my kindergarten teacher helped me through this transition smoothly, and adequately. I very quickly learned to love school. Soon after, I knew I would aspire to become a teacher. I would spend countless hours at home with a blackboard, acting as a teacher to my imaginary students throughout my elementary school years.
