Mine craft can be a useful game in school so i don't see why 6th graders can’t use/play it in beaufort elementary. As Kaley proved with her hanging garden garden , you can make educational things in minecraft. We could make a model of the solar system or we could use it for math and use blocks instead of tiles. It's also a great game so you might hear less complaining than usual. It's a win win for student and teacher. It's not inappropriate so we can play it during free time. The most inappropriate thing you can do is say ...bad things in chat but you can figure out who said it. The most inappropriate thing that will happen is that someone will kill a pig. That would be terrible.Pigs are great. For bacon. About educational purposes I think blocks can be useful for math as I explained in the introduction. It would be better than using circles for tiles. For science we could create a wave with a redstone contraption (which i've done before). For social studies we can build a pyramid or and indian society. It can be useful in all sorts of ways and reflex and prodigy are always the same but with minecraft you can do anything. IT'S LIMITLESS!!! …show more content…
Those are some of the reasons that minecraft should be allowed in 6th grade.
I hope you seriously consider letting us play minecraft. Or playing it yourself. You could talk to Mr. Garrison about it… or not. Well this is the end of my
essay.
Have you ever been bored and wanted something to do? Well, Minecraft can help you get out of your boredom! Minecraft is a way better game than terraria because of its 3D graphics, its great storyline, and because of its multiplayer option. These games are a load of fun, but only one can be the best. And that game is minecraft.
When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I grew up and experienced new things, that changed. I was lucky that I discovered this before I went to college, but others aren’t so lucky. Many people spend thousands of dollars on a college degree only to discover later on that they want to change careers. Rather than spend a small fortune and years of time getting a new degree, people can go to a vocational or technical school. These schools are exactly what the people in this country need to get the jobs they deserve. Some of the best schools in this country are technical schools, and we need to stop telling our kids that a traditional college is the only way to a successful career. Although
Although video game interaction is boundless, gaming can't be referred to as the new way of socializing because it revolves around on the game itself. In the video game community, a player is assumed to have a neutral identity. Even though social interactions are present in MMORPG's, these interactions are not about the individual's traits, emotions, memories, or other personal characteristics; it is all about the game and the environment that surrounds it.
There are a lot of unique materials to experiment on. These materials include wood, stone, iron, wool, and even gold blocks. Players can create something any out of this to come up with a unique design. People who aspire to be artists can experiment with colourful blocks like wool, dyed hardened clay, and even gold and diamond blocks. These can be used to make up a pixelated kind of artwork. Sculptures can also be made and to be experimented in the Minecraft world. The people who aspire to be architects can also work freely in the virtual environment. The structures can be made by pure gold, surrounded by lava, or even make the structure upside down. There are a lot of possibilities the design of the infrastructure might look like considering that every material in Minecraft is considered a building material. People can analyse critically if the unique materials can relate to each other and if one does not contradict the nature of the material. By this, if players put together a creation that includes only lava and wooden materials and considering that both of them are close, then the whole creation is ruined since wood is flammable and will burn up if it is exposed to fire or lava. By experimenting with the given resources, it gives players something they haven’t done and try to relate these concepts with their perception of building creations. These experiments can give a boost to their creativity and inspire them to come up with brilliant ideas to present their products in
Every fall high school seniors around the globe are in a state of panic. Of course you are no stranger to this process, you have dealt with this stress firsthand. What process is being described you may ask? The process of applying to college. Each year seniors scramble to submit applications, transcripts, and letters of recommendations to the schools of their choice. These documents are essential for nearly all students who want to advance to an institution of higher learning, but for many the paper trail does not end there. Seniors interested in a career in art, well specifically in visual art, need one more thing to obtain that sparkling acceptance letter. That missing link is a portfolio.
In 2007, the world consumed 5.3 billion tons of coal, 31.1 billion tons of oil, 2.92 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, and 65,000 tons of uranium. All of these energy needs could have been met with only 6,600 tons of thorium, an abundant, slightly radioactive element found in the Earth’s crust.
Abortion is a touchy topic. In different cultures and historical times, abortion has been viewed in a variety of perspectives. Some argue it is the right for a woman to have control over her body, while others argue it is murder. From assessing two different films, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days and A Woman Alone, one can say clear differences in the effects of having an abortion or keeping a child. In 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, two Romanian college women struggle with arranging an illegal abortion. The “doctor”, Mr. Bebe, clearly states that everything must be kept secret and that the repercussions of getting caught could be drastic. On the contrary, in A Woman Alone, the main character, a mother, decides to keep her child. They have an extremely
Every day kids are given things they should finish at school and If they don’t finish its homework or teachers give out homework that is only for home, but students sit there doing nothing. But they’re some problems that don’t make sense. Why should kids learn about how to build a trebuchet, why should students read a book then take a test on it then forget about it, why should we be learning about math formulas that don’t apply in real life situations when are people in generally gonna use the quadratic formula to help in real life problems.
In case you didn't get enough drama in actual school, Minecraft has made a school mod of your own. The mod has blown up on Youtube with several videos receiving hundreds of thousands of views. If this is all news to you here are five things to know about it.
Image a school with laptops available to each student to complete their class notes, teachers who are able to help their students through the screens of their computer, children who are excited to learn about numbers with the help of cute, animated characters. With the endless advancement of today’s technology, schools across the world have begun integrating various technology into their curriculum. These devices have the potential to greatly impact students in their learning. When a school opts to use technology in a school setting, the most important factors they should take into consideration are the benefits of using technological devices, the effectiveness of technology used
Since the beginning of time art has been a big part of culture and education. From indians paints stories on rock walls to Greek using are to create elaborate structures art has alway been a key role in many cultures. In today’s society the important of art is question. We want to big building with beautiful landscape, but we either take advantage of art or do not give it enough credit. Many people question whether classes such as art, drama, and theatre should still be part of the mandatory curriculum. In most schools you are required to take an art or drama class. In junior high school it is mandatory that you take an art class some time while you are attending junior high. In my opinion students all have different passions so it should not be mandatory, students should however be able to take those classes in high school, but unless you are getting ready to pursue such things in college they will not help you later on.
I believe it is important to be creative in the classroom. I think children should be able to express themselves through activities that lets them be the creative ones. Art can challenge children because they can come up with so many different ideas using different art materials. Art doesn't have to just stay in the early childhood classroom, it can lead into higher education like elementary school. When children get into elementary school they can use art to
Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
Since there are so many issues with coal and how it is obtained it is difficult to come up with one perfect solution. There are many options to try and improve the situation, but every option has its faults. For instance, coal could stop being obtained but then there would be no technology and there is no way that people would give up their technology. Another option is to have the United States military force mining countries, specifically the Congolese to treat their workers well and to equally distribute revenue, yet this would most likely lead to war. There is also the option of having companies only sell conflict-free electronics. This allows the possibility of individuals fighting over the same resource to stop. Although, this would
